2026 Coaching Changes (2/9/26 Update - Eagles Hire OL Coach)

Was just coming to post this. More and more this is reminding me of 2020 under Doug when we brought in all these offensive minds (Scangarello, Breiner, etc) in an attempt to help a struggling offense (that was when the completely inexperienced Press Taylor was promoted to OC).. Sure hope the results are better this time around.

I’m hoping the difference this time is that they are all in the same page about the offensive scheme. When Nick spoke he alluded to that the people they brought in have experience in the scheme. We’ll see of course. Lots of moving parts to come together

Siri: we hired several new offensive coaches, we'll get this thing fixed.

Some notes on Jerrod Johnson, who is joining the Eagles coaching staff per @MikeGarafolo

• Spent last three seasons as QBs coach in Houston. Just recently parted ways with Texans.

• Was 1 of 7 candidates who got two interviews for Eagles OC job this offseason. Three of those candidates — Sean Mannion, Josh Grizzard and Johnson — are now on the Eagles’ staff.

• Johnson also interviewed for Eagles OC job in 2024 that went to Kellen Moore.

• Johnson was on the Colts’ coaching staff under Frank Reich and worked with Nick Sirianni when Sirianni was OC in Indy. He also worked with OL coach Chris Kuper in Minnesota.

• Johnson played QB at Texas A&M and went undrafted in 2011. He was with the Eagles in training camp that summer.

Scapegoat? lol

The Eagles now have 4,316 Offensive Coaches. Hopefully, maybe, if they are lucky, 3 will be able to actually Coach Football.

😀😜

I know there has been speculation and rumors about Stout staying involved in the organization in some capacity … this is the first time I’ve seen a quote from him confirming it.

Huh.

And WTF. Maybe the new OC and Stout had alot of deep conversations, and Stout was convinced to stay "in the building"?
