Yeah our STs have been solid. Not exciting or game changing (one exception is the Rams game). But decent enough.

The one head scratcher was having that Punt returner try and return a punt within the 5 yard line against Dallas. Then proceeded to get rocked and fumbled. He should probably not see an NFL field ever again as a PR.

And now GB is the latest team to express interest in Parker for their DC spot.

Well this one sucks.

We are doomed. Losing people and can't find an offensive coordinator.

Fortunately, we still have our CB coach, Roy Anderson who has a lot more coaching experience and should be able to take some of Parker's responsibilities.

It's not just losing Parker but it is also the fact that Dallas is the one poaching him.

I always hate seeing anybody go to dallas. This hire, though, does feel a bit rushed to me. They get a guy that has been learning under Fangio, but only has a few years of NFL coaching experience and never outside of coaching DBs. We've seen a lot of Fangio-clones that don't quite measure up --- mostly because they don't have that seasoned, old-school mentality that commands respect. I expect dallas to continue to do dallas things and this hire fits the mold.

What positives have you seen this offseason? They can't find any good offensive coordinators and people leaving.

You're telling me that the only good OCs out there are the guys looking for work because they got canned in the last few weeks? Let the bad teams rush to sign these "big names." Who freakin' cares?

As for the offseason, it has barely even started. Aside from interviewing candidates to replace KP, all we can do is sign scrubs to reserve/future deals or work on extensions with our own guys. Free agency is more than a month away. The draft is 3 months away.

Guessing his comment about "people leaving" is not related to players but to Parker taking the DC job in Dallas.

Ummm do you want experienced guys for this team or inexperienced guys? Make up your mind. Usually poached coaches are inexperienced that were never coordinators or call plays.

I do not know about what Parker will be as DC and i am agree with you on this point. He has no experience and could be a bust but he could be successful too

I hate to admit it but i give credit to Cowboys to do things differently.

That said trying to copy the Eagles do not garantee them they will have the same success lol

Bobby Slowik would have been a coach we poached from Miami. But he chose to accept the OC spot there.

We reportedly have interviewed Declan Doyle (Chicago). If we hire him we would be poaching him from them.

We also reportedly made a request to interview Jim Bob Cooter. Should we hire him it would also be poaching him from Indianapolis.

I know, I know. I was just being facetious. 😊

I hope I used that word correctly. Ha!

not such a great news for the Eagles. Dallas D will improve next year.

How can they not improve? 32nd in points allowed this season and 30th in yards allowed. There's nowhere to go but up.

["Mike McDaniel and Brian Daboll were the Eagles' two top targets," McMullen wrote. "No offer was made to either, however, because McDaniel was clearly going in another direction, and Daboll explained his priorities: a head-coaching job or the Titans and Robert Saleh, who he has gotten very close to. One source said the Eagles have not actually offered the job to anyone. It's been a slow burn, but it does feel like the contingencies, typically a strength of the organization, were not nearly as defined as they should have been."

Philadelphia's search for an offensive coordinator has been moving at a snail's pace this offseason. Now, another high-end option is off the market. The Eagles have two straight NFC East titles under their belt and yet the job hasn't flown off the board. It's been a somewhat surprising start to the offseason, but the search isn't over yet.]

The Eagles lose coaches and FO people every year it seems when other teams never seem to be poached as often. They’re losing coaches faster than they replace them. I’d prefer an older OC who isn’t looking to be a HC in a year. Get an OC similar to the current DC.
