They’re losing coaches faster than they replace them. I’d prefer an older OC who isn’t looking to be a HC in a year. Get an OC similar to the current DC.Fangio currently has no plans to leave, but that doesn't mean the guys under him are staying every year. Parker left and Hurtt had an interview. Kasper was promoted this season, but may be a hot commodity next season. How long will it be before Bobby King (ILB coach) gets an interview somewhere with the job he's done with Baun, Dean, and Campbell?Yes, you can hire a Marty Mornhinweg that teams have seen enough of as a HC to keep him off their HC search lists, but if there is some success on offense, the guys under him will still get poached. In the end, you just have to make a good hire and be developing potential replacements internally if you want continued success.

Every year a new face frankly has made the offense worse as a whole. Really how can the quarterback trust the system if the faces keep changing? The Eagles offense is just as inconsistent as its need for a new yearly play caller. No I would prefer not to see a return of Mornhinweg, but that doesn’t have to be the only person available.
January 29Jan 29 Decided to mention this in this thread since it's "coaching changes"...I suppose everyone has heard the report from Jeff McLane saying Jeff Stoutland had his run game coordinator responsibility taken away during last season? This doesn't really meet the theme of this thread but it's at least a "change" with a coach. It's an interesting tidbit and another move that, if true, shows there was some internal panic about the offense.

Sure injuries played a part (a rather large part) but this would just confound the issue. Another terrible decision by Sirianni. Guy is clueless.

Maybe it took away from Stout's focus on developing the OL depth as well.Either way, I think it's probably better to not have so many cooks in the kitchen when it comes to designing the offense. Run game coordinator, pass game coordinator, offensive coordinator, your mom's coordinator...sheesh (not actually your mom, lol).

Sure they have made mistakes in hiring at times, but I do feel more often than not the Eagles tend to do their due diligence with their coaching hires. We need to be a little patient here and the Eagles will find their guy.
January 30Jan 30 Love the Grizzard hire. He will add value and assist with implementing a modern, real NFL offense.
January 30Jan 30 I think this is a decent approach. 2 young guys that seemed to have impressed a lot of people. Mannion does well and leaves then we've already got a replacement ready to go
January 30Jan 30 Author 2 hours ago, pgcd3 said:In some ways this feels a bit like 2020 when they brought in Scangarello and Breiner to work with Doug (we didn't have an official OC that year as they canned Groh after the 2019 season). Even though Mannion is OC he has zero experience in that role so it almost seems like these 2 additions (now with Grizzard) will be working with Sirianni to add new ideas to the offense just like we heard in 2020 (we all know how that turned out!).
January 30Jan 30 Interesting move to have 2 new offensive coaches. How they work together, along with HC and Strouland, would shape the offense. Hope for the better.
January 31Jan 31 I think Stoutland will retire before Fangio. And I have no problem with that. He may have hit his ceiling here, as an O Line Coach..At some point, it just doesn't work anymore? A new message is needed, a new blocking scheme is required to fit a new Offensive Coach. Can Stout adjust to that??

Mukuba was playing well before he got injured. Reed is OK. Epps was very serviceable considering he didn't really start playing until week 14. Heck, even Jackson was decent once he settled. And I'm pretty sure Parker must have had something to do with making Q the best CB in the league.Makuba was not good. Reed Blankenship was near last in the league among Safeties according to PFF. Q and Dejean were the only good pieces in that secondary.

Could be better but overall solid.I think it's more on Howie to find competition at Kicker and a couple Kamikaze players to level up the ST.

Sunday at 12:23 PM5 days Howie needs to get rid of Emo Sirianni, the dumbest coach in Eagles history. That may be a stretch as there were some doozies.I just don't like how Siri handicaps the team on offense.
Sunday at 01:27 PM5 days I'm thinking Vic will retire after this season, on offense we need to replace the WR coach for sure and possibly a TE coach that can show them that they need to and hoe to BLOCK
Sunday at 03:54 PM5 days 19 minutes ago, time2rock said:Well the latest from John Clark indicates Vic is indeed considering retiring. Seen this and also seen the eagles talked him into one more year! While he is a great coach I don’t know what one more year does besides makes it so we definitely have to search for coaches again next year.. I would jut cut ties now and try an get Schwartz if nothing else it would increase the chatter of the eagles trading for Miles 1000%
Wednesday at 06:06 PM2 days A former Wisconsin and Wisconsin-Oshkosh QB, Senger began in the NFL as a coaching fellow in 2022 and has steadily risen through the ranks. He was an offensive quality control coach in 2023 and an assistant QBs coach in 2024.Under Senger’s guidance this past season, the Cardinals finished seventh in the league in passing despite backup signal-caller Jacoby Brissettstarting for the injured Kyler Murray in 12 of 17 games. Their QBs combined for 29 touchdowns against 11 interceptions and ranked a respectable 13th in traditional passer rating (92.5).While Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.didn’t progress as hoped in his second season, third-year wideout Michael Wilson broke through during a 78-catch, 1,006-yard, seven-touchdown campaign. Meanwhile, with 126 grabs, 1,239 yards and 11 scores, Trey McBride was the most prolific tight end in the game. Only superstar Rams receiver Puka Nacua (129) amassed more catches than McBride.
