Makuba was not good. Reed Blankenship was near last in the league among Safeties according to PFF. Q and Dejean were the only good pieces in that secondary.

Yeah the Safety position/play last season was not too good. Makuba will obviously be back. I wonder about Reed.

Damn, it seems as if more holes are opening up on this Team. 😆😖

Losing Stout sucks but at least Vic will be back.

They better have a succession plan with Fangio leaving next year.

I vote either promote Clint Hurtt, Jim Schwartz or try and get Matt Burke from the Texans

I think Stoutland will retire before Fangio.

And I have no problem with that. He may have hit his ceiling here, as an O Line Coach.

.

At some point, it just doesn't work anymore? A new message is needed, a new blocking scheme is required to fit a new Offensive Coach. Can Stout adjust to that??

word is Stout is out. I don't think he's retiring though. Sounds like he doesn't fit the plans. Crazy

This is probably the most logical and likely explanation for how things unfolded leading to Stout leaving.

They should look for a new WR coach. He's been carried by AJ and Smitty for too long now

Mahaffey will also serve as TE coach.

That's probably not as unrealistic as most will say. I think it is about as equally likely we end up with a crappy record that may be close to that as there is all of this working out splendidly. We needed change on offense ... we're going to get it. This could get us headed in the right direction with all of the new faces coaching the offense and expected scheme change or it could blow the F up on us. If the latter it likely leads to Sirianni being ousted after the upcoming season and we are back to square one.

The coaching changes could have more impact than just the coaching staff. McLane believes the removal of Stout (whether that was completely by his choice or if he felt pushed out) could lead to both Johnson and Dickerson retiring. There has already been some feed in the rumor mill about Dickerson calling it a day due to all the injuries.

A most bizarre offseason for sure ... and not even 12 months coming off a Super Bowl win. I swear this team rises to the top but can never stay there for more than a cup of coffee. Howie will have his work cut out for him for sure this offseason (as it relates to both filling out the coaching staff and the roster).

Don’t worry it’s all apart of the script we will rise again ;)

It seems that KP not only screwed up the offense, wasted the team a season, also caused Stout to leave. He should not be with the team. If Nick is trying to protect him, then NIck should also be released.

Everyone with even half a brain cell knew the Patullo hire was going to be a complete disaster. But I don't think anyone would have guessed it would have as far reaching effects as it has. I don't know about being fired less than a season after winning the Super Bowl but Sirianni should be held accountable for such an egregious mistake.
