Monroe Freeling (OT, Georgia)- 2026 NFL Draft

Monroe Freeling

6'7'' 315lb

Played on the left AND right side for Georgia.

Hes a bulldog. You know the eagles have their eye on him.

24 years old will knock him down slightly.

Likely mid round pick.

Blows Keldrick Faulk 10 yards off the ball

Hes had a great year - only allowed 3 sacks and 6 hurries. according to PFF.

I like Blake Miller from Clemson too but this guy is for real.

I think he's turning 22 in July, so that's good from an adding strength perspective.

Freeling is my initial favorite for our 1st round pick. He turns 22 in July so his age is incorrect in the OP.

This draft almost has to be about the offense with OL being our first rounder.

Yeah I found that out in another thread I started with media in first post.

YouTuber Broshmo just did a two round mock draft with trades today and he has the Eagles trading up with the Jets to take Freeling.

We kept our second round pick and drafted TE Stowers

We get - Jets first ( 16 )

Eagles select Freeling

Jets get - Eagles first ( 23 ) and third ( 68 )

Does this sound like a good deal ?

Too rich for me, Cypress Hill - I guess there isn't enough of a difference between him and Icheanachor as projects, where I'd want to give up a pick in that part of draft which might be a sweet spot to find a safety, tight end, wide receiver or defensive end.

I thought so as well. Dillon Thieneman, EMW, and Ioane Vega were available here so Id rather take either one of them if I'm going to trade up THAT far

Realistically, I could see us trading with CAR if they got jammed up (so a 4th) or with SD to secure our guy (5th) - but I'm not seeing the target here that makes a lot of sense to cash in two premium picks.

I've been a bit skeptical of Iheanachor only because of how raw he is (so the boom or bust factor plays in much more heavily and we really can't afford the latter). But recently I'm starting to think that would likely be a wise pick if he checked all other boxes with those doing the evaluations. And Berman made a great point here:

So I am coming around now to him as our pick at 23 if we stay put (or a slight move up but one that doesn't cost us a day 2 pick).

Eh... Lane was pretty much a generational athlete at OT. Iheanachor is just one of the most athletic in this class.

You can't really universally apply Luries quote to any athletic OT. Most will bust.
