Re-sign;

Reed Blankenship, Jaelen Phillips, Braden Mann, Joshua Uche, Dallas Goedert, Brandon Graham

Cut;

Michael Carter

FA;

Alontae Taylor, CB, New Orleans Saints;

Mekhi Becton, OG, LA Chargers.

Draft:

1 Caleb Banks, DT, Florida;

Handing out lucrative contracts to both Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter in the near future, is going to be hard to do. Allocating that kind of money to two DT’s will leave little room if any to other players hitting FA in the future.

When healthy Banks has all the tools to replace Davis down the line on a rookie contract and if Davis signs a big contract elsewhere as a Free agent in 2027, we’ll likely receive a 2028 3rd round compensatory pick in return.

Trade Alert!

Eagles trade pick No.54 and one of their 5th rounders to move up about 10 spots.

2 Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia;

3 Michael Trigg, TE, Baylor;

3 Kevin Coleman Jr., WR, Missouri;

4 Bud Clark, S, TCU;

4 Tyreak Sapp, Edge, Florida;

5 Carson Beck, QB, Miami;

Trade Alert!

Eagles trade pick No.197 to the Cincinnati Bengals for a 6th and 7th in 2026.

6 Jalen Farmer, OG, Kentucky;

7 Al'zillion Hamilton, CB, Fresno State;

Just like the last on I like it and certainly wold be happy if this was the Eagles off-season . And just like the last one there is the same BUT. I don't think Howie can maneuver enough to sign both Phillips and Goedert sas well as the the rest of the crop. I definitely think BG is out of the question. In my opinion he's not goint to play for less than $10M. The Eagles have $13M plus the $9M they save by curtting Carter. To keep Phillips who is the #3 rated free agent in the league will eat up a lion's share of that no matte what sleigh of hand Howie uses. I see a year much like last year, watching most of our own free agents walk and only bringing in fringe players.

Alonte Taylor would be a nice pickup and a sure upgrade over Adoree' Jackson, (you're probably getting tired of the but), but Spotrac predicts an $11M per year deal for him.

I'd love to have Becton back BUT the Chargers have $88M of cap space so I can'tunderstand why conventional wisdom has him being let go. is there more to the story that I don't know.

Your draft is solid yet it relies on all the resignings and fre agent pick ups you've forcasted.

Picks 1 and 2 are pure Howie. I like them both and as you say it would spell the end of Davis. I love Freeling's size, he's tailor made for Stoutland.

In the 3rd I like the idea of outside speed in Coleman. I wish the tight end class was more solid and my guy would be Klare especially if Goedert is re-signed.

4th round - Nice find in Clark who is an under the radar safety. I'm not a Sapp guy. 6'3" just isn't my idea of an edge. Lawrence, Llewellen, or Anthony fit better for me.

Love the Beck pick. Most folks don't realize we only have 2 QB's on the roster. Howell is a FA and McCord was signed by Green Bay. aybe the Eagles signing Green Bay's QB coach was poetic justice.

Thanks for the read. Interesting as always. Let the games begin.

NFL salary cap for 2026 is projected at $301 million to $305 million per team. An increase of approximately 20 million. So Eagles have about 46 million to spend if you take cutting Michael Carter into account. We won’t be big spenders but enough for Howie to get something done.

Not so fast my friend. Both overthecap and spotrac have the increase cooked in.
