Posted February 4Feb 4 Well, another one I am pissed about. Just like with Malachi Fields, I am just now realizing I didnt make a thread for Dunker yet. Came to post the new vid and couldnt find a thread. So, here is one now. With the vid.Add Dunker and Rutledge in this draft. Barkley and the run game is instantly fixed. Super bowl.
February 4Feb 4 Some information I found written by one person at the senior bowl.I wasn’t a fan of Iowa offensive linemen Gennings Dunker coming into this event. He held a Day 3 grade on my board, as I was super worried about his movement skills being good enough to start in the NFL.Well, he was moving a lot better than I thought he would in Mobile. He also got some reps at tackle, which is where he played in college, but he’s largely expected to play guard in the NFL. Nothing on his tape will change my mind on that, but I will go back to see if I was too hard on him in other areas. - https://thecasualnfldraftanalyst.substack.com/p/winners-and-losers-from-2026-seniorInteresting to note that Hurtt singleton and a couple of the eagles other personnel were involved in the senior bowl. Hurtt was the head coach of both Dunker and Rutledge.

He was injured with an abdominal injury, so it was good to see him throwing the ball with better fundamentals and running with functional athleticism. The gamble is whether the disappointing 2025 season can be rationalized, and if he can build on his very successful 2024 season moving forward. In terms of Dunker, if he was being graded as a tackle (only) then that would push him down. So, fast forward - if you see him as guard on Day 1 of the senior bowl then you might appreciate his power and mobility for that position. The criticism I have for Dunker is that he needs to be hair faster off the snap, as he was getting beaten to the punch by some of the quicker DTs.
February 5Feb 5 Author I believe he has short arms so is projected to guard. I put OL in the thread title because you never know if a team like the Giants still plays him at tackle. But hes probably a guard and thats where Id want him.
February 5Feb 5 With Stout out, may be I’m slightly less excited about position and side changes. Stock up Rutledge (RG exclusively).
February 5Feb 5 thats what I've heard from a lot of mocks I see on the web and on YouTube. He has good size at 6-5 and 315 lbs. plus IIRC, Iowa was given the award for best O line in college football. regardless aside from Mailiata we have to fix the entire lineMy two cents we should try to bring back Bechton, draft a corner first round and then draft Dunker in the second round. that would at least fix the right side
