February 4Feb 4 Author The crazy thing is that there was no retirement announcement. Could it be that there was friction with the team when he was removed as run game coordinator?I'm wondering if he'll be coaching elsewhere next season.
February 5Feb 5 Stout got stripped off his running game calling responsibilities , apparently by Eagles Green, in 2025. No one announced it. No one knew. One of the reasons why he is leaving. Eagles wanted him to stay with other responsibilities. But he decided that a lot of other teams are interested in him More then the Eagles.
February 5Feb 5 Siri isn't respected in the league. This off-season has showed that. No one established wanted to be his OC. Vic wants to retire and now we lost Stoutland. Get rid of him

Howie and Jeff should have fired his ass today in order to keep him. He hired an idiot as OC and Jeff lost his job as run coordinator. Do you know how embarrassing that had to be for him as respected as he is? Nick is a f'ing clown and the people defending him with the "he won a SB" fail to understand Howie, KM, and Vic carried him.
February 5Feb 5 AJ Brown wants out. Fangio wants out. Stout wants out and left. They couldn't get an experience vet OC because they don't want to come here. You tell me there is nothing wrong inside the Eagles org- I'll wait.

February 5Feb 5 Well. According to Reuben Frank, Stout did have triple bypass surgery in the not so distant past. Stout is an all-time great OL coach and his successor won't be a replacement. You just don't replace that impact. Hate to see him go, but I wish him good health and a happy future. Thanks for all you've done coach!
February 5Feb 5 Thanks!! Good luck.Changes are happening. Hopefully for the best. Onward and upward!!
February 5Feb 5 I'm hearing rumors that Harbaugh wants to hire Stoutland in New York. What a cluster this team has become.
February 5Feb 5 I knew I would be in the vast minority with this take but I am perfectly ok with this. I say this time and time on this board and it's something that a lot of people don't seem to grasp. More than one thing can be true at the same time. Stoutland is a great OL coach, but it was time to move on. For one thing, other than Becton, when was the last time Stoutland developed someone under the radar into a great OL? Jurgens and Dickerson were high draft picks. They have drafted SEVERAL guys on day three the last few years and the talk always was "they will go to Stoutland U and become good players" and it hasn't happened. Keegan, McMahon, Kendall, Hinton, Williams, etc. They haven't even gotten high level backups out of any of these guys. Steen was a fairly high pick in 2022 and if we are being perfectly honest he is a high level backup who hasn't really developed. Green was a former first round pick and everyone just assumed Stoutland would turn him into the next Becton and he didn't even make the team. My point is, Stoutland is a great OL coach but he isn't the miracle worker people have made him out to be and perhaps the game is passing him by a bit. Which leads me to my next point........It should be crystal clear based on this, and based on the hires of Mannion and Grizzard that this offense is going to look completely different in 2026 and beyond and it was time. If that means we need an OL coach with experience in the Shanahan/McVay run schemes / the willingness to adapt than so be it. At the same time IF Hurts and/or Sirianni doesn't adjust and adapt to that they will be next. The offense became stagnant in recent years and was bailed out by a historic season by an all time great RB and everything just kind of falling into place. It's time for change, for the offense and organization to adapt, etc. Also I don't care if it's Mannion or a big name guy, you can't bring in a new OC and say we want to run a new scheme and adapt and you can run your own offense, but you need to keep this OL coach who also wants to be the run game coordinator and do things his way. That just doesn't work. This doesn't mean losing Stoutland will work out but if they are going to commit to a real change to the offense this is necessary and I would be willing to bet this is more about the team wanting to go in a different direction than Stoutland choosing to walk away, no matter what is said out of respect for him.
