With the combine in 2 weeks and free agency a month away this is truly the calm time.

What follows is what I think will happen in free agency and what I hope will happen in the draft. Oh - and I threw in a trade or two

Free agency:

Eagles re-sign - Jalen Phillips, Braden Mann, Josh Uche, Big Fred, Marcus Epps

Eagles lose contributors- Goedert, Blankenship, Dean, Adoree' Jackson, Dotson, Toth

Eagles lose non-contributors - Howell, Dillon, Marshall, Pryor, Felix-Fualalo, Calcaterra, Granson, Ta'Quan Graham, Okoronkwo, Ojulari, Nickerson, Huglett, VanSumeran

Eagles cut - Michael Carter III, Jake Elliott

Eagles sign - Daniel Bellinger (TE Giants), Mekhi Becton (G, released by Chargers), Ric Woolen (CB Seahawks), Kenny Pickett (QB Raiders) this replaces Calcaterra, Pryor, Jackson, and Howell

Trade - AJ Brown and Tanner McKee to Cardinals for Marvin Harrison Jr. TE Tip Reiman, a 2026 2nd, and a 2027 4th. This replaces AJ, Granson, and Howell

Draft -

1 - Guard Vega Ioane, Penn State 6'3" 348. With he and Becton we have a true backup plan for Dickerson's health/retirement and Steen going into his contract year. Replaces Toth on the roster

2 - WR Ja'Kobi Lane, Southern Cal 6'4" 195 4.52. The big body needed to and a needed WR3 threat to go with Devonte and MHJ

2 - our own pick, trade for a 3 and a 2027 4

3 - Safety Jalon Kilgore, South Carolina 6'1" 219 4.5. Replaces Blankenship on the orster, but Epps will be the starter early in the seaosn

3 - Edge Zion Young, Missouri 6'6" 265 4.8. Edge room = Phillips, Smith, Hunt, Uche and Young with BG's return a question

3 - TE Jack Endries Texas 6'4" 240 4.7. Replaces Calcaterra

4 -OT Demetrius Crownover, Texas A&M 6'7" 330. A former TE with light feet. He and Cameron Williams are the starters of the future. this year Big Fred backs up Lane. Remember the running game was better the second half of the year when Lane was out and Big Fred was in. Replaces Pryor

4 - WR Josh Cameron Baylor 6'1" 218 4.44 Stretcvh the field speed. the Johnny Wilson experiment is over and Covey goes back to the practice squad until someone is hurt.

5 - QB Cole Payton North Dakota State 6'3" 233 4.7 replaces McKee

5 - LB Lander Barton Utah 6'3" 236 4.67. Casmpbell replaced Dean in the linup and Barton replaces him on the roster

QB - Hurts, Pickett, Payton plus UDFA on the practice squad.

RB - Barkley, Bigsby, Shipley, Steele

WR - Devonte Smith, Harrison, Lane, Cooper, Covey, Cameron

Here’s where you lose me; why would the Cardinals trade Harrison Jr?! Arguably one of their best players, young, top 5 pick , on a rookie deal and likely one of their building blocks?

Cardinals are not one or two pieces away from competing. My guess is that a contender would want AJ and vice versa.
