Wanted a thread for anyone that's tried any headphones and really liked them

I just got the new asus kithara ones. I went through amazon so I can avoid the crap customer service. Never had planar headphones

I just have some turtle beaches. I like em. Nothing spectacular but they do the job

I've never actually tried headphones for gaming, I have always been interested though. Do they add to the immersion a lot or are they mostly good for gaming online with your friends? Or both lol.

Definitely helps with the immersion, the footsteps and directional sounds. Also good if my kids are sleeping and I don’t want the noise of the game to wake them up

Yea I really like the spatial audio with gaming. Also being able to hear every little detail

I'm also looking at the audeze maxwell 2. There's an anc version coming out and I'm interested in how it is vs the 2

Mine just showed up an hour ago and I messed with them a little bit. I like it so far! Thanks for the thread Mike now Im hooked lol.

Which ones did you get?

I think I got the prebatch kitharas that are loose on the adjustable strap. Saw in a bunch of a youtube reviews that asus told them it was fixed. So I'm having a replacement delivered. Another complaint is how they have pad swapping. It's pretty annoying to get the pads on and off. Thankfully I found that the velour pads are a lot more comfortable. So I'll just leave those on

Sound is amazing. Though since it's open back you can hear everything in your room and surrounding. So it's best in a quiet environment

Just a cheap pair to start off with but, they are reviewed very well and the one website that ranked the 10 best headsets this one was ranked #3. I don't have much experience with them but they sound great

Yea going from no headset to something is a big jump. You can always go down the rabbit hole for high end gaming later
