Cut Micheal Carter 8.7 savings — wish we could trade him and save the full 10 he is a decent player but I just can’t project that.. though if we can trade huff maybe it’s a possibility.

Post June 1st destination- I saw reports of this online so I’m going with it. Dallas Goedert and others contract voided this week but part of redoing his contract last year allows them to choose the 20.5 million that is currently showing as dead cap in 2026 and designate that post June 1st according to over the caps numbers that lowers 2026 dead cap to 7.5… with the other 12.9 getting pushed to 2027

Total 21.6 cap relief for 2026

Re sign -

Big Fred - hopefully one or more of our draft picks from last year develop to replace lane in another year but Fred is a good backup/fill in starter for us so he is retained so we don’t feel the need to reach on a tackle.

Marcus Epps - played well in the playoffs sadly is a better option then Sydney Brown who I had high hopes for but is trash other then on special teams.

Braden Mann - pretty good punter no complaints

Kylen Granson - competes for a spot

Let walk

Phillips - this is a hard one because he showed so well and is good in Fangio’s system, but after thinking it over. His extensive injury history is just too much to throw the bag at him. Maybe howie can recoup the pick we sent to Miami with a third round comp pick in 2027.

Blankenship— I’ve went back and forth on this one I like his leadership skills but think he did regress a little last year and will probably be offered a higher contract then I want to give him.

Dean - sorta the same boat like him as a player but injuries seem to follow him and we just spent a first rounder on Campbell he needs to see the field

Goedert- his blocking really took a step back this past year and we need to get younger at the position

Dotson - I think Dotson is a better player then he has shown but I could be wrong

The rest— bottom of the roster players maybe 1-2 end up back but nothing really noteworthy.

Potentially—

Brandon Graham - he said he would come back another year if howie calls so I keep the door open

Free agents

Kingsley Enagbare DE packers — former 5th round pick that got pushed to Parsons backup after the trade but was still higher on the depth chart then their former first round pick Van Ness … showed previous interest talking with him in the 2022 senior bowl

Cade Otton TE Tampa - Otton is thought of as a solid blocker has 59 catches both of the last two years and turns 27 in April… not to mention he just played under one of our new coaches.

Charlie Kolar TE Baltimore former 4th round pick who has been stuck behind Mark Andrew’s an Isaiah Likely on the depth chart but given plenty of reps in the run game where he has excelled as a blocker. He do have potential as a pass-catcher though which is was in college. The eagles actually met with him in 2022 at his pro day

Cordale Flott CB New York Giants a third round pick who has improved each season he had 1 int and 11 pass breakups last year. The downside is that he has missed atleast 3 games in all 4 seasons as a pro the upside is he was a solid #2 cb last year who also has experience in the slot and at safety

Makhi Becton Ol projected cut chargers - after stout left I thought Becton would no longer be a good fit but reading a little about our new oline coach I think Becton would be a good fit. He competes for a starting spot again and also adds insurance in case of injury or if the eagles wanted to pull off a trade later in the summer for Crosby/Garrett they could potentially include Steen in said deal save a couple million and both of those teams have needs at guard.

Skyy Moore WR San Francisco Moore is brought in mainly for his return skills with a good chance he could both the kick and punt return specialist but I also think he does very well creating space in motion and could have a role on offense. We met with Moore at the combine in 2022

Draft

#23 Zion Young, EDGE, Missouri — a lot of rankings had young as a second or 3rd round pick but after a tremendous senior bowl week at looking at his measurable’s I think he finds his way into round 1. I’m not going to project any trades in this draft but if I did I would project a small trade back.. lots of players I like in that 2-3 rounds and would like more picks if possible.

#54 Blake Miller, OT, Clemson - 54 consecutive starts at RT for Clemson needs to add some power but good hand and movement and plays to the whistle often finishing blocks with the defender on the ground

#68 - Jacob Rodriguez, ILB, Texas Tech - former qb who has only been starting at lb for 2 years.. numbers are through the roof

#98 Bud Clark Safety TCU — 15 interceptions on the older side but has familiarity lining up in multiple spots in the secondary.

#122 Sam Roush TE Stanford he isn’t going to run away from anyone from reports but a solid possession tight end and very good as a blocker

#137 Skyler Bell, WR, Connecticut had over 1000 yards last season competes for that #3 slot position

#151 Aiden Fisher, LB, Indiana .. will give his all finds himself around the ball often.. might think it’s overkill for another inside backer but I like fisher’s talent and also the eagles can save 8.5 million by making Baun a 2027 post june 1st cut if the draft picks work out. Trotters last year of his rookie deal is also 2027 … funny part is his mom and sisters are all cowboys fans and he is a Washington fan

#180 Preston Stone, QB, Northwestern Rob says we need a qb and I was having trouble with what direction to go with this pick so I settled on a Qb.. Stone has a quick release and pretty good skills I would say if he was a few inches taller he would be rated a good bit higher.. as it is this is probably to high for him some sites say he will be undrafted but I’m not projecting trades in this mock so here we go.

I feel a little thin at safety and I wouldn’t have minded drafting a guard also just didn’t work out.

Pretty darn good!

Here's some thoughts - I'd have foregone that 3rd round LB pick later and drafted a WR from a deep class to potentially start at WR3. With Fisher later you've filled the rtoster void created by losing Dean.

I like filling the Edge room with Enagbare and Young. nice roster management by you.

Do you really want 4 tight ends. You picked up Otten and Kolar, drafted Rousch, and re-signed Granson. I know you noted GRanson competes for a job - my question is "with who". No need to re-sign Granson, save the $'s.

I'd also look closely at thay pick 54. I thing we could get Crownover later and free up that 2nd round slot for a CB, S or WR

This was a great read. Make sense in so many ways. Thanks

As far as the 3rd round lb… it was to good for me to pass up I thought about wr but most of the players I like I thought would already be gone. Also weighing on my reasoning for not taking a wr here or the pick before is that in this mock I’m not trading AJ though we could use someone behind him. I’m excited by the return of Jonny Wilson who I think many thought was going to be our #3 last year before injury, I also think he is one of if not our best blocking wr. I feel with the tight ends I added and their blocking upside we run more 2 tightend sets both in the run and pass game.

The eagles often have 4 or more te’s in camp I think last year they had 5 if I’m not mistaken.. resigning Granson means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Look at some of Blake’s highlights lots of him pulling moving in space and knocking people to the ground.. I saw similarities to lane’s game and think he fits well in the zone scheme it appears we will be running. I’ll have to look up this Crownover. I think the eagles take a tackle pretty high I almost have them pull the trigger round 1.. I think I have this happen every year with prospects but I would guess I have 5-6 guys atleast in that 2nd-early 3rd round range I would love to have and we only have two picks. I would almost prefer them trade back with round 1 and get a later first and 3rd or 2 seconds if they can.

Thanks
