Posted Tuesday at 01:08 PM5 days Figured this is probably the logical place for this thread. How do you think we'll address the tight end position? If Mannion brings more of the Packers' style offense to Philly, the tight end position will be important. Currently, the cupboard is bare at this position.Re-sign Goedert? I'm not so sure that happens, depending what some other team offers him. And the consensus is his blocking took a step backwards last season. Semi-splash in free agency? Isaiah Likely. Young, in his prime, is a good blocker and receiver. I'd certainly like it if we signed him. Probably be out of our price range though.Other free agent possibilities: Cade Otten? Sneaky good player who can block and catch. Charlie Kolar? Under the radar who is more known for his blocking because that's all he's done...but he's been buried behind Andrews/Likely in Baltimore. Could be a sneaky good and CHEAP option. David Njoku ? Could be a little pricey given his reputation. He'll be 30 this summer so not sure about him unless he comes cheap. Tyler Higbee? Older than Goedert but should come much cheaper and is a better blocker.Draft: Not a fan of taking Sadiq in Round 1. But after him, opinions vary on the rest of the tight end class. Much will depend on what they put more of an emphasis on...blocking or pass catching/athleticism, etc. Probably my favorite (so far) TE prospect in the draft that shouldn't cost more than a 4th round pick, is Sam Roush. He comes from a program that has a decent history of producing NFL tight ends and is generally thought of as a good blocker and serviceable pass catcher. Who's your favorite TE in the draft? Or more importantly, who do you think the Eagles will go for?Trades? Michael Mayer? I'd take him. Ultimately I think we don't re-sign Goedert and instead go after Otten or Kolar, trade for Mayer, then draft a TE in the middle rounds. So our 2026 TE room looks like: Mayer/Kolar/Roush/Latu.
Tuesday at 04:32 PM5 days So you ready my latest mock I posted yesterday where I had them sign both Otten and Kolar and draft Roush… reshaping the room for the next several years and drastically improving our blocking while still having receiving upside.

I know Dallas has been a decent blocker in his career but it didn’t snow last year and I would like to get younger… watching the Seahawks tight ends being able to block made me want that for us.. another low end tightend who is a pretty good blocker is Adam troutman

Just think we need a total transformation of the TE room this year.
Wednesday at 03:02 PM4 days I don’t think I’d bring back Goedert. And that’s not easy to say but I’m not sure I would. He’s been so so good for us but in most years he’s missed a number of games due to injuries. He’s 31(?) and I think that money should be invested in other areas. Now what we do to replace him? That’s really tough! I guess try and sign a couple of the cheaper FA TEs?

Don’t know if that will price him out. What’s pretty clear is that we need two TEs in free agency. Lots of interesting options out there (Otton, Likely etc) so just have to test the market.
Thursday at 01:41 PM3 days It seems like we almost have to keep DG cost wise and I'm Ok with that despite wanting Otten. So my TE room is DG 88Max Klare draft OhioSt.Kolar or Bellinger LatuI would think Mannion would want to bring in aGB TE like Fitzpatrick but his achilles takes his rehab into the season ..and Josh Wyle is a RFA..no way GB trading Musgrave.

I don’t want to discredit Dallas but I think what he did wasn’t down to his athleticism or anything like that? Not for a number of his TDs anyway.
Friday at 06:57 PM2 days Draft one and also get one via trade/FA? Would love to bring back Goedert on a team friendly one or two year deal/contract.
