I got to go to the first 2 days of the combine. Saw the whole defense and the TE's. Really neat experience. Won't miss any of the days next year.

Here are some of the takeaways -

The walkaeay $ for Blankenship went DOWN. The safeties were impressive and deep, even if Caleb downs didn't work out.

Loved the corner depth also. We'll be able to get a potential starter on day 2.

For those Nittany Lion fans - the Penn State guys showed will. Durant was a beast and I'd love him to be an Eagle if he were taller than 6'1". Dennis-Sutton also showed well, but Wheatley.

Only a couple tight ends are potential round and 2 guys - Sadiq, Stowers, and possible Klare - but there are a bunch who could be good picks in the 3rd.

• You bring Philips back, signed Enegbare and used a 2nd round pick on Jacas. A little overkill IMO

• In my last mock you told me you like bigger passrushers than Michigan’s Moore but Jacas is about the same size. What’s up with that?

• Freeling and Cooper probably won’t last that long;

• I’d be over the moon if you’d get a haul like that for McKee but we both know that’ll never happen. Maybe…Just maybe a 2nd only but probably a 3rd;

• Overall well thought out mock, my friend.

1 - Need 5 on the roster and the 5th year option on Smith isn't nearly a sure thing. This year's room - Phillips, Hunt, Smith Enegbare, Jacas\

2 - at the time both were listed as 6'3" - combine measurements have them at 6'4" which changed my evaluation

3 - Let's hope you're wrong on this one. If you're right substitute Proctor and Sarratt

4 - Let's wait and see. I still think there's a couple of teams who will need QB's after free agency and before the draft. Howie can leverage them against one another
