March 20Mar 20 Thank God they brought Epps back. He's probably the best S on the Team.Need to get two more, if possible??

March 21Mar 21 Author Wasn’t a fan of Brown so not sad to see him go. The move just seemed strange because we were already thin at S. Much better off with Epps back in the fold ... I had hoped we would bring him back even before Brown was moved thinking the only legit starting S on the roster was Mukuba and he is coming off IR (so he needs to prove he can stay healthy).Adding Gray who is a 3x All Pro as a special teamer is the perfect replacement for Brown (Brown's best role was a STer)As far as succession goes:Blankenship --> EppsBrown --> GrayAs far as who is better:Epps > BlankenshipGray > Brown
March 22Mar 22 Author Eagles Hit Jackpot With One-Year, J.T. Gray SigningThe Philadelphia Eagles made another good move this past week.Patrick McAvoyThe Philadelphia Eagles scored a quiet win on Friday.Philadelphia traded Sydney Brown to the Atlanta Falcons and followed up by signing both Marcus Epps and JT Gray. Over the last few days, the Brown trade has gotten the most buzz. That's not overtly shocking. It's a great deal for the Eagles. Essentially, they traded a depth piece away and moved up in the fourth and sixth rounds of the 2026 National Football League Draft. The move to bring Epps back has gotten some love as well. With all that being said, let's dive into the lesser-known move: signing veteran JT Gray to a one-year deal.Breaking Down The Eagles' Quiet WinGray is most known for his time spent with the New Orleans Saints. Gray spent the first seven seasons of his career in New Orleans before spending a bit of time with the Denver Broncos and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2025. He joined the Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and has had a successful eight-year career ever since. With Gray, the Eagles aren't likely getting someone who is going to step in and be a consistent safety for the team on Day 1. He's technically a safety, but is more of a special team ace than anything else. How JT Gray Helps The EaglesThat's how he can help Philadelphia the most. Gray is a three-time All-Pro, including being named First-Team All-Pro once in 2021, as a special teams ace. Philadelphia was a middle-of-the-pack team when it came to the special teams in 2025. The Eagles finished the season 16th in special teams based on ESPN's FPI. With Gray, the Eagles are getting someone who can step in from Day 1 and not only contribute, but potentially lead.He was a captain on special teams over with the Saints, for example. With this move, the Eagles are quietly improving an area of the franchise that needed a boost. It's niche, but important. It's how the Eagles have operated overall this offseason. The Eagles haven't handed out some sort of massive deal, but instead have been bolstering areas with savvy veterans. Gray will help the special teams. Hollywood Brown will help the receiver room. Riq Woolen has all of the upside in the world for the cornerback room. Arnold Ebiketie is someone who can help the pass rush. These are all moves the Eagles have made that may not always explode with headlines, but will impact winning in 2026.https://www.si.com/nfl/eagles/onsi/news/eagles-hit-jackpot-with-one-year-j-t-gray-signing-pat3
March 25Mar 25 Have to wonder if the signing of Elijah Moore has anything to do with Brown since they're like BFF's or something. Did they bring in Moore to placate Brown to try and keep him happy this year...or...does Brown know he's getting traded and told his boy so Moore thinks he will have a better shot at playing more? With Brown, Moore would be WR4/5, without Brown he could easily end up as WR3.

They could have brought in Moore knowing Brown was going to get dealt after June 1 and therefore there will be a need for a WR3 (in that situation you'd think Smitty would be WR1 and Hollywood likely WR2). Or if they are still unsure about dealing Brown (perhaps the right offer doesn't come about), then maybe Moore is just an insurance policy in the event we do end up dealing him later or will be here to compete for a spot with some of the youngers guys like Wilson and Cooper if Brown doesn't get dealt. Quite a few possible scenarios ... we aren't likely to know with any more clarity until June 1st rolls around.

Maybe because he's played on mainly dysfunctional teams...Jets, Browns...then Buffalo last year where they barely used him. He could quietly end up being a good role player or WR3 if we finally utilize that position.

March 25Mar 25 Love to see Fred back, don't know if you can have better solution at that spot (if we exclude an instant draft hit).I could even see him as a "stop gap" solution for 1 year if you don't like the future replacement of Lane in the next two draft (if he retires next year) or if you draft a guy that needs a year to develop.

March 29Mar 29 Author 4 years with the Bucs, 1 with the Browns, and last year with da Bears. 15 sacks in his 4 years with TB … none the past 2 years.
March 30Mar 30 The Highlight Zone channel on YouTube already has a video out for this guy. He seems like hes good at getting off blocks and setting the edge. This sounds like a good rotational piece or even just a camp body for the D line.

I would guess trade up is the biggest possibility.
