Post June 1 means no benefit to the Eagles this year. I'm just not ready for that.

Correct unless a player is involved.. but even so if at this time next year I looked back and AJ was a headache all year and we could be coming up on the 2027 draft with a second first round pick and say a 2028 2nd round pick I would do it.

We have enough wiggle room we could add a Mike Evans and draft a wr with the idea of if the right offer comes along we can move AJ

I would personally keep him for at least a year. But I agree, I don’t see how we can afford to trade him pre June with that cap hit. Cutting Carter and extending Davis would give us around 30 I think. But AJ would cost us another 20 million. That basically means we only have space for rookies and the Coleman salary. I don’t see how he can work it so he can free up enough cap to sign Phillips and everyone else.
