Eagles re-sign Jaelan Phillips for 4 years, 100 million with 48 million guaranteed.

The agent will report it as 4 years/100 million but it will basically be structured as a two year/48 million dollar deal

Dallas Goedert, Reed Blankenship, and Nakobe Dean all sign elsewhere.

Eagles sign Zach Ertz for one year at 2.5 million with incentives that can push it up to 5 million.

Eagles sign Marshon Latimore for one year at 5 million.

Eagles sign CJGJ and Marcus Epps to one year deals in the 2-3 million range.

Eagles draft Lane Johnson's (hopefully) replacement at 23, a TE on day two, and a second TE late day three.

Nobody is willing to come close to meeting the Eagles asking price for AJ Brown and he remains with the team for one more season.

I don't know if it's possible to be more wrong (but only time will tell). I can promise you one thing ... Lattimore and AJ Brown won't be on the same team. Bonus thing --- anybody paying Lattimore $5M is an idiot.

Says the guy who isn't posting his own predictions. Typical.

My prediction was that yours were wrong.

Eagles are many times unpredictable. So, I'm sure this will be way off, but I'll give it a stab...

Extensions for Carter and Davis

Re-sign Phillips to a 3 year deal
AJ Brown DOES get traded...to the Pats. Eagles get: 2026 2nd, 2027 conditional 2nd that can become a 1st if Brown hits whatever benchmark)

Free agency:
Sign TE Charlie Kolar

Trade for TE Michael Mayer (something like a 5th....or a 4th for Mayer and a 5th)
Sign Romeo Doubs (influenced by Mannion)

Sign a Safety to a 1 year deal - Jaquan Brisker (Eagles had him in for a pre-draft visit) or Andre Cisco (injured last year, good possibility for a 1 year prove-it deal)
Sign a CB to 1 year/short term deal - Jamel Dean?

Draft:

Round 1 - OT
Round 2 - Edge and WR

Round 3 - TE or Interior OL
Round 4 - Whichever of those 2 positions in Round 3 they didn't take

Like I said......

"OFFICIAL?"

I prefer to be a rebel and post in the underground off-the-grid predictions thread.

I don’t know maybe it’s just me, but swapping Ertz for Goedert seems like a step in the wrong direction. This is a run first team and Zach isn’t exactly a guy who is a great run blocker. Not to say Goedert was either last season, although I wonder how much of that was due to the poor run schemes and the injuries to the offensive line. I think the Eagles need to improve the pass rush more than just brining back Phillips. I think I’d rather see them go after Crosby and that will improve whoever is on the other side of Q.

I do think we will sign Ertz at some point so he can retire as an Eagle --- not so he can fill a need at TE.

I'm predicting an offseason that is similar to last year.

  • Watch most/all of our top FAs walk (Phillips, Dean, Blank, etc.)

  • No splash signings in FA ... just lower level signings where most won't impact the comp pick formula

  • Howie once again moves all over the draft board ... passing on players that many of us would like to see here (and would fill a need) but instead goes the route of trading down in order to add extra late round picks.

I agree with that. Zach will retire as an Eagle. I just can’t see him back as an everyday player, but he’s been solid for the Commanders for sure.
