Day 2 on the books - no answers here, just options

The Eagles have solidified CB2 with Riq Wollen and now have TE2 blicker Johnny Mundt and TE3 Grant Calcaterra. Theres' beau coup work yet to be done. Maybe it'll look like this-

Re-sign Epps, Mann and Uche who played better than he's given credit for last year.

Needs still look like this -

Defense - Edge (2 of them), starting safety, back up LB

Offense - starting TE, WR3, OT, IOL depth

In my opinion this many needs negates playing the comp pick game.

Not many options at edge - trade for Grednard, or trade for Crosby, sign Chubb, Espenesa, Ebiketie. Regardless of who we acquire a 2nd day pick is a must. If we can't land Grennard for a 4 or make a block-buster trade for Crosby I think edge has been Howie's achilles heel this off-season.

Starting safety - Brisker would be my target, but Geno Stone or Nick Cross would fill the bill. There's the thought that in base (15% of the snap total) Cooper DeJean plays safety with Mukubawith Q and Riq at corner. Who sits in base? If we sign no one it would be Epps is we sign someone or draft one high it wold be the rookie of Mukuba, Sounds like a good traiing camp story for our illustrious media to follow.

Back up LB - not a high priority, leave it for day 3 of the draft.

OT - I don't see a free agent that fills the bill of being Lane's eventual repolacemnt. A couple could be a back up this year. If Big Fred leave it's a 1st round priority, if not it's still day 2

TE - no starters left unless Goedert come back.

WR3 - I'd be llooking at signing from the grop of Austin, Tolbert, Wallace. Can't count on Darius Cooper yet or on a rookie unless its a first roun dpick which it won't be.

IOL depth - we have wpolenty of tackles and centers on the roster but no guards. Sign Evan Neal or Kayode Awisoka.

So that leave us with only a couple actual needs in the draft - OT, Edge, and tight end, There's day 1 and 2.

If Sadiq's there he's #1, If not it's either Freeling or Proctor. All 3 gone - trade down

Day 2 TE;s - Klare, Delp, Rairdon, Bentley and Royer. I don't like the other 6'3" guys.

Day 2 edge - Lawrence, Dennis-Sutton, Noore, Jacan, Crawford, and Overton

Day 2 - OT - Tiernan and Miller

Next would come safety and WR. There's the 3rd round. At safety - Wheatley, Kilgore, Ramsey or Moore. At WR - Sarrett, Lance, Lane or Chris Bell

Finally - IOl depth, and LB. Plenty of options at both. Remember, we have 3 big guys on the wroster who COULD POSSIBLY be converted to guard - Cameron Williams, Mles Hinton, and Hollin Pierce.

Plenty of possibilities - no answers YET
