Going into the draft being able to fully focus on BPA with a top 8 cap space...Howie is a god.

Let's get into it...

Re-signed

  • Dallas Goedert — 1 year (confirmed)

  • Fred Johnson — 1 year (confirmed)

  • Brandon Graham

  • Michael Carter — 1 year (confirmed)

  • Marcus Epps (confirmed) — 1 year (confirmed)

  • Grant Calcaterra (confirmed) — 1 year (confirmed)

  • Braden Mann (confirmed) — 4 year (confirmed)

Let Walk

  • Jaelen Phillips

  • Nakobe Dean

  • Reed Blankenship

  • Jahan Dotson

  • Adoree Jackson

  • Matt Pryor

  • Joshua Uche

  • Sam Howell

  • AJ Dillon

  • Brett Toth

  • Kylen Granson

Extension

  • Jordan Davis — 3 year, $78M (confirmed)

  • Jalen Carter

Free Agency

  • Tariq Woolen, CB, Seahawks — 1 year (confirmed)

  • Jonathon Jones, CB, Commanders — 1 year (confirmed)

  • Arnold Ebiketie, DE, Falcons — 1 year (confirmed)

  • Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, DE, Browns — 1 year (confirmed)

  • Johnny Mundt, TE, Vikings — 1 year (confirmed)

  • Stone Smartt, TE, Jets — 1 year (confirmed)

  • Hollywood Brown, WR, Chiefs — 1 year (confirmed)

  • Elijah Moore, WR, Bills — 1 year (confirmed)

  • Dameon Pierce, RB, Texans — 1 year (confirmed)

Trades

  • PHI sends a 2027 7th round pick to Panthers for Andy Dalton, QB. Andy Dalton was brought in to be a soundboard for Jalen Hurts, and will most likely play an important role in Jalen's development in Mannion's new offensive scheme.

  • PHI sends both 2026 3rd round pick (68) and 4th round pick (137) to JAX for 2026 2nd round pick (56). Considered a prototypical Howie edge rusher pick, Dani Dennis Sutton falls into the back half of the 2nd round. In need of a 3rd quality rotational edge rusher, Howie makes a move.

  • PHI sends 2026 5th round pick (153) and 6th round pick (215) to TEN for their second 2026 5th round pick (144). I believe we'll go after a developmental TE this season. Howie moves up in the 5th to secure Sam Roush after falling a bit in this very deep TE class.

  • POST DRAFT—PHI sends AJ Brown to NE for their 2027 1st and 3rd round picks. When there's smoke, there is fire. AJ has mentally moved on from his Philly chapter (what a moron...). Say what you want, AJ is still in his prime and when happy, will put up top 10 WR numbers. Given what we've heard from NE camp, I strongly believe the Vrabel / Brown reunion happens. We land a great haul for next year's loaded draft while freeing up future cap space for 2027 season to put towards Jalen Hurts (yes, I said it...), Quinyon, and Cooper's extensions.

    • This gives us 7 picks in the first 4 rounds next year, including two 1st round picks and two 2nd round picks.

Draft

  • 1.23 - Omar Cooper Jr, WR, Indiana

    • Explosive YAC receiver that can play outside and slot. He is the perfect fit for what I anticipate Mannion's offensive scheme. Completes our WR room for the 2026 season with AJ moving on in the post-June 1 trade.

  • 2.54 - Caleb Lomu, OT, Oregon

    • There's an expectation that some quality OTs drop into the mid-2nd round. Lamu is explosive off the line and can handle speed and power rushers. Provides an excellent depth piece at RT or G as a rookie. Future RT when Lane retires.

  • 2.56 (from JAX) - Dani Dennis Sutton, DE, Penn State

    • A good fit for the Eagles’ defensive scheme, particularly as a rotational edge player who can set the edge against the run and contribute in multiple fronts. Completes our pass rusher room.

  • 3.98 - A.J. Haulcy, S, LSU

    • A smart, zone‑versatile, physical safety with excellent ball skills who can help in run support and intermediate coverage. Will thrive in 2-high.

  • 4.122 - Tecario Davis, CB, Washington

    • Smooth zone coverage traits and physicality with good instincts. Fits Vic's hybrid coverage schemes.

  • 5.153 - Sam Roush, TE, Stanford

    • A 6'6, versatile, blocking‑strong tight end with athleticism and receiving ability to play in both run‑and‑pass situations.

Like your thinking but Lomu, Haulcy and Roush likely won’t last that long. Lomu is projected to go in the first, Haulcy in the 2nd maybe early 3rd and my guess is that Roush will wind up getting picked in the 4th maybe 5th round…

leftcoast - I hope your trade idea for DDS works out. If it happens I think Howie will have hosed Jacksonville. I use ourlads.com value chart tostructure and evaluate trades. Here's the numbers - Eagles pick 68 (250 points) and pick 137 (37..5 poimts) for a total of 287.5 points. Jaguars pick 56 (340 points). That's a difference of 53 points which is roughly equal to Eagles pick 114 (66 points).

Love the Cooper pick, especially if Howie has a handshake deal with the Pats fr a post
June 1 trade.

I agree with Ray75 regarding Lomu, but I think your are spot on regarding poisition. Ther's a chance Miller or Iheanachor could be availalbe. It might be a bit early for them but Tiernan, Barber and Crownover will all be available.

DDS is a no-brainer. If we could make that trade it would be a coup. How about theis for an edge room - after April 29 sign Joey Bosa since that date ends the compensatory pick calculations. Then we have Bose, DDS, Smith, Hunt, Ebikitie, and Tryon-Shoyinka. in the room. with one of the last two probably cut

Haulcy would be great value. The ratings services make it look like he isn't likely to be there but there's a chance. The services I follow generally have him rated highter, but Walters has him near the end of the 2nd, drafttek has him in the 3rd,

If you get a chance, let's discuss why you think a CB should be in the cards. I'm loking for 3 on the OL and a QB

I can't find a Luke Kendra but I found a Luke Kandra. He shigned with the Carolina POanthers last year

Love the Roush pick. Fantastic.

Thanks for the read.

Question; how would you feel if Howie takes Keldric Faulk in the first?!

Eagles have shown an aweful lot of interest in mid to late round tackles as of late. It wouldn’t surprise me if they don’t take an offensive lineman in the first and go for a Cooper, Boston, Faulk, McNeill-Warren etc.

I've read that there are some no-brainer round 1 OTs expected to drop into the 2nd given the talent at skill positions and DL. So if not Lomu, insert another projected 1st round OT.

Safety typically falls in the draft, and given Haulcy struggles with single-high coverage, I projected him to be the top 5 S to fall to the 3rd.

TE is extremely deep this year, so not sure Roush in the 6th is that farfetched. But, I edited the draft with another trade up to TEN's second 5th round pick (144) using our 2026 5th and 6th round picks.

DDS is SUCH a good fit for Philly. The trade is less about points, more about JAX picking up another 4th round pick in a draft that should have some talent available in round 4.

Cooper pick (or any round 1 WR) essentially confirms AJ is gone post-June 1. I'm all for it. I think we need more shifty, unselfish team leaders like Smitty that Mannion can utilize in his new offensive. Love AJ and no doubt he'd ball out in this new offense, but he will not be forcefed...

Funny, I was actually going Miller there but thought Lomu had a better chance to fall. I love both of them as prospects who can help our depth at RT and G their rookie years.

Safety typically falls in the draft, and given Haulcy struggles with single-high coverage, I projected him to be the top 5 S to fall to the 3rd.

I believe Howie goes after another young CB with upside to develop should Riq leave after his 1 year deal (or we simply can't afford to extend his contract after Carter, Q, and Coop).

Sign me up. I was very tempted to go Faulk in round 1 and one of the round 1 WRs that will inevitably fall to the early-mid 2nd...

I really like McNeill-Warren fyi.

I'd take Omar Cooper Jr if AJ stays if he doesn't Im trading to end of 1st rd & selecting Chris Brazzell ll. Height speed hands has way more upside to be a star at position. Then Darius Cooper, Hollywood Brown, Elijah Mitchell & Johnny Wilson battle for position.

Waiting on Howie to do something with AJ Brown to see if we get a 1st rounder this year.

Saw somewhere that Howie wants 2027 picks.

Running the simulator: I am picking OT, TE depending on who is there at 23. Maybe we trade up

TE Kenyon Sadiq

OT Kadyn Proctor

That's quite good analysis and I agree completely.

I get it - thanks

I'd be thrilled. I'm with @leftcoastnest follow up thought about going t=for an OT later. Miller, Tiernen, Crownover, Barber should all be there on the second day.

Howie is not going for a 1st this year given the dead cap hit PLUS how mid this class is. Definitely securing ammo for next years class…

Elite run stopper, very clean prospect, even a team captain and from a size, weight, height perspective we don’t have that an the roster right now (can’t bet on Joe Tryon-Shoyinka).
