Free agency is a wrap. While I think there are some positions that are higher on Howie and Co's board, I think they are in position to go BPA all the way through the draft.

Let's begin.

Trades

  • PHI sends a 2027 7th round pick to Panthers for Andy Dalton, QB.

    • Andy Dalton was brought in to be a soundboard for Jalen Hurts, and will most likely play an important role in Jalen's development in Mannion's new offensive scheme.

  • PHI sends Tanner McKee, 3rd round pick (98), and 5th round pick (153) to ARI for 2026 2nd round pick (34).

    • Arizona misses out on Ty Simpson, so they call Philly to land Tanner. I'm thinking a run on OTs, Edge, and WRs in the first round is likely, pushing positions like DB and TE down into Day 2. Eagles are going after one of the top Safeties if they are there on top of day 2...Cooper Dejean scenario all over again...

  • POST DRAFT—PHI sends AJ Brown, WR to NE for their 2027 1st and 3rd round picks.

    • Writing is on the wall for AJ. He's absolutely being moved to NE on June 2, which is when Jalen Carter's extension will get finalized, as well. Wicks and Hollywood were brought in to pair with Smitty and our younger guys to help Jalen with the transition of this new offensive scheme. None of them are prototypical WR1s, but they all bring a specific skill set that I think we are going to see utilized in this new offense. IMO we hold off on early WR this year, and then draft the position early next year once we work out kinks in the new offense and see what we have in Wicks (who I actually think may become a very suitable WR3 for us long-term). This gives us 7 picks in the first 4 rounds of next year's highly-anticipated draft, including two 1sts and two 3rds—immediate plug-and-play OT and WR can be taken early next year.

Draft

  • 1.23 - Keldric Faulk, DE, Auburn

    • Checks all of Howie's boxes...size, power, and ability to set the edge while collapsing the pocket inside. Can stop the run and generate pressure without heavy blitzing. Completes our DL for years to come...Carter, Davis, Faulk, Hunt, Smith...

  • 2.34 (from ARI) - Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo

    • Versatility to play multiple secondary roles and his physicality in coverage match a system that values interchangeable defensive backs who can disguise looks and support both man and zone concepts. His game matches well with our scheme, especially with all of the existing talent in the secondary. Linking EMW back up with Quinyon would be so fun to watch...instant chemistry...no fly zone...

  • 2.54 - Chase Bisontis, OG, Texas A&M

    • One of the top guards in the draft. Well-suited for our new zone-based, play-action offense. Provides a plug-and-play option that can play LG or RG, depending on where he's needed. Think he's going to be a stud...

  • 3.68 - Max Klare, TE, Ohio State

    • All-around balanced TE prospect who can block in space, run crisp routes, has solid hands, and flex out as a reliable receiving option aligns perfectly with a motion-heavy, play-action offense. Steps in full time if/when Goeddert leaves Philly next season.

  • 4.122 - Jude Bowry, OT, Boston College

    • Long, swing tackle with lateral quickness and comfort moving in space. Fits Mannion's expected outside-zone, play-action offense that prioritizes athleticism over pure power.

  • 4.137 - Sam Leavitt, QB, Arizona State

    • A strong fit for Mannion's offense due to his mobility, quick decision-making, and comfort operating in a West Coast offense. Future backup after learning behind Hurts and Dalton his rookie season.

Wouldn't it be nice if Howie and NE had a wink wink deal where the 1st and 3rd round picks th ePAts make are players Howie wants and will be inlcuded in the June 1 trade?

I think we'd still have a 6th round pick.

Solid picks.

I like it! 👊🏼

That’d be great!
