I think Howie has done a pretty good job of assembling a team that, on paper, has the talent that should allow us to compete for another championship. Can we strengthen some positions (like safety)? Sure. But we rolled with a UDFA (Blank) at S and that didn't stop us from winning it all. Health of Dickerson and Jurgens is obviously a huge concern ... winning starts up front. If those guys miss significant time or are playing at far less than full strength again this season, how well will the backups do (so OL development becomes key ... something we now have to wonder how well we will do in this area now that Stout is gone). We have a brand new OC (again) who is said to be brilliant but has little coaching experience and will obviously need to prove himself once we go live. The play of Hurts always seems to be a hot topic. What is your biggest concern?

Oline and then Hurts. I don't trust Cam or Landon to stay healthy. Too many variable with Hurts. Can he play well in the system? Is he really going to run less? Will losing Brown hurt him more than people realize

No question that losing Brown will help him. How many times did we have to watch last year as he threw a catchable pass to Brown that was dropped or Brown didn’t make and effort and Jalen looked frustrated, but held his words because AJ is a Diva. How many times did he force throws to AJ when Devonte or Goeddert were better options to feed the Diva.

He will be glad to have the cancer gone and so will we.

1) I think Stoutland not coaching is a blunder this team should have tried to avoid at all costs. Stout's record with turning veterans into pro-bowlers and developing young draft picks is second to none. And then, of course, is the OL health.

2) The combination of Hurts and Mannion......Hurts has to be a better passer if he's not going to run as much. But at this point in his age & career, there are things that just might not get better. Mannion has to bring some creativity and use play calling to get Hurts to spread the ball around......the offense has a load of playmakers that they have to take full advantage of......

3) Roseman did a really good job of preparing to lose Brown......Obtaining Wicks is an underrated move and drafting Lemon and Stowell gives Mannion a full stable of skill players. Losing AJ Brown may not matter if Smith, Wicks, Lemon, Goddard, Stowell are productive.

4) I don't think safety is as big an issue as perceived. The eagles defensive line, LBs and defensive backs are loaded. Makuba is coming back and Howie will add more talent at safety once the preseason cuts, post June 1 moves and final cuts are announced. Plus he has trade bait.

I went OL because as bad as Patullo was (all time top 5 worst OCs at all levels of football combined) Cam and Landon were shells of themselves.

They were a complete liability on the field.

Even Mailata played at 85-90% after Dillon ran over him.

Lane was playing hurt or out hurt most of the year.

That Steen /Patullo moron fest of him turning 1/2 a second before to tip the snap was grade Z asinine buffoonery. That made the line way worse.

Its not that the line was not top 5 dominant, this team can thrive if they are top 10-15.

Its that the line was bottom 5 awful. Add in Calc and Saquon could go nowhere.

Hurts had no running lanes as well but the cult never cares about facts.

I think our safeties will be excellent. My concern there is depth in case of an injury. If Coop is base safety then we have excellent base safeties.

Health of the OL is the clear #1 concern. That will significantly impact how Hurts/Mannion and the new offense perform (which is the next biggest concern).

You act like it was all season. It wasn't

My biggest concern is the offensive line. The Eagles are a different team when Lane Johnson is not playing - and he'll be 36 this season coming off of a tricky lis franc injury. Dickerson and Jurgens were both banged up last season and ineffective when they were playing. Tyler Steen is adequate at RG, but he is better as a backup than starter.

As the OL goes, so goes this team.

An offensive coordinator who never ever called plays. Eagles do that a lot, don't they.....
On the brighter side, I have a good feeling about this guy mostly because of what everyone

who knows him has said. I also know words don't mean sheet- so let's see what unfolds this year.

For me it’s the current gaps on the team.

Safety being the one I’ve mentioned a lot. But also RG is still a worry (I’m just not sold on Steen) and I think LB is also a concern. I know we have Baun who is great and Campbell looked really good in his rookie year. But the defense really stepped up when Dean returned. Baun and Campbell aren’t really a MLB and so that does leave us with a hole. And despite the addition of Greenard I’m still not completely convinced by the edges.

And then with the offense it comes down to Jalen and whether he can run this scheme. This scheme is going to ask him to do things that we know he’s struggled with in the past. So can he improve on those things?

I'm just feeling this team. I was worried about Patullo but I'm just not feeling the same trepidation about Mannion. Seeing Lemon come out of a break, man he plays deceptively quick. I think I strained my eye socket trying to follow him out of a break in practice. The pieces they've added fit fundamental needs to open up a considerable amount of attack vectors on a defense. Stowers, if used properly, should be an I-Win button in the red zone. Lemon attacking the middle and Brown stretching the field and stressing the secondary should create mismatches and places to exploit. If I was Mannion, I would want AJ too but I think that ship sailed long ago and we're just waiting to find out where it went.

I feel like the scheme gives us a chance at success and competent play calling will make it successful enough. If Mannion lives up to the hype, this offense is gonna Fly and we'll really have something.

• New (inexperienced) OC

• Health of the OL

• The play of Hurts (generally speaking ... doesn't go through progressions, doesn't throw to the middle of the field, etc.)

• How well Hurts executes the new scheme on offense being implemented by Mannion

• Losing AJ Brown (potentially)

• Losing Stout (OL development)

• Filling in the remaining perceived holes on the roster (safety, etc)

Intersting how "questions" become "concerns" at this time of the year. Each of these is a legitimate question, but at this point in time they really can't be termed as conderns. We haven't even seen a single training camp practice and as Howie says, "the roster construction process is still in progress".

Even the scant info from OTA's started to answer some of the questions, notably Jurgens and Dickerson looking ok.

Can't quibble with the list, but I do have some issues regarding the media driving the angst among the fans.

Stout for instance - aside from Mailata and Kelce, he had a #1 dradr pick (Johnson) and 2 #2's Jurgens and Dickerson, and a #3 Steen. Virtually every OL has 3rd day picks starting as did the Birds during Stout's time. Stout had some notable flops too - Watkins, and the tackle who gave up 5 sacks in a game comme to mind (I can't remembert his name). Even Brett Toth took 4 years to be a useful pro.

Then the list refers to holes - except for safety where are the perceived holes? Answer - there aren't any.

Losing AJ? i understand there are two points of view, but isn't there a possibility of adding through subtraction. Would AJ be content with spreading the ball around? That's the philosophy seeming ly being implemented.

This team goes as far as the O-line can take them. If they're good, the team will thrive. If not, Jalen and Saquon will have problems and the defense will wear down due to too much time on the field. To me it's all O-line this season.

To me the offensive live was the real downfall of the Eagles and their lack of depth. I hope these guys can hold out this season, but I am concerned that this group can’t hold up and they just don’t have enough experience with their backups.
