Everson Griffen on trade block (traded to Lions)

JJ has let it known he is shopping Griffen. I highly doubt we go after him. But 3mil for the rest of the year and I would guess a 6th would do it. Might be worth a call.

Edit. Traded to the Lions for a conditional 6th!

This would be a good trade.  Turn one of the picks acquired, Ertz, Jeffrey into a pass rusher.  I could get behind it.

No thanks. Older guy who would cost to keep around. Not the kind of player we should be going after if we are to be buyers.

Agreed! If we buy it should be cheap.

Trading a late rounder for an upgrade at LB for example...

Yeah absolutely. I'm good with them upgrading pretty much any position to get younger and cheaper.

3mil and possibly a 6th is pretty cheap for a rest of the year rental.

You think?!

We need both the draft capital and the cap space and are not in the position to trade for a one year rental who’ll barely have an impact here.

We’re not one player away you know?!

Why would we want a rest of year rental? We need to get younger and cheaper. Id rather Sweat gets the reps.

They had a chance to sign him but they took Curry over him. Doubt it

If they didn't have Curry then maybe its a trade you make. But even then I'm not down with it.

He's not that good anymore. Having said that the Seahawks should definitely be making a call.

I'm keen on a young guard, linebacker or corner that we can also potentially trade for and extend.
