I would like to give a shout out to DP and the coaching staff. Despite how woeful Carson has looked in these games they have ensured there is no QB controversy by consistently setting Jalen Hurts up to fail.

This makes me feel even worse about the entire situation. Get it together or hit the pines. Don't care how much he's paid.

It really boggles my mind how he could throw such dimes like last week to Scott, Fulgham today and Reagor on the 2pt try. 

Honestly I thought the whole team might play bad thinking easy win, bye week next week. But really, Wentz was awful aside a few throws. 

On the 2 interceptions it just seems like he is over confident with his arm. The Hightower one i think the wind was to blame. The Reagor one was just a really stupid throw.

I also think he didn't care bc he saw that Dinucci wasn't gonna do anything to beat them.

Don't know, he's very inconsistent aside from turnovers.

Yep, I’m happy to see the defense step it up today, look at the Miami defense today... the QB didn’t need to do much, imagine our defense played like this against the 7-0 Steelers when Wentz put up 29 points, or the Ravens 28 points.... I know the Dallas defense has been bad but they did get some players back on D for this game that been out, also they got 31 points put on them last week, I’m sure they wanted to show up today after that beating.... plus after what we did to them last season too.... people think these games are always gonna be easy. I think when we get Jeffery and Ertz back we will be even better.... Jeffery makes two of those catches today imo for sure deep. I rather let him heal 100% 

My goodness that was all a bit messy wasn't it. I mean they got the result and in a division game that's all that matters but that was just not good at all. I mean the defense was good that's for sure but Wentz? My goodness that's about as bad as he's been this year.

An historically bad defense and Wentz was quite frankly atrocious. I don't really want to hear any defenses of him. Sure he threw 2 TD passes. Good for him.

The game isn’t the same if Dak is playing. It just mods that work that way. It’s entirely possible Wentz would have played great if Dak was the opposing QB. We really don’t know. Guys would have totally different mindsets.

That's fair. But let's not kid ourselves here, Carson hasn't played great this year. He gets credit for some things he's done, he led this team back last week when they seemed down and out but he hasn't played a great game. Hell he's yet to play a good game. 

On the bright side, the defense didn't give up 30 points again.

 

I'm disappointed in the QB and the coaching staff who are responsible for getting the best from him.

DeFilippo had no problem admonishing Wentz when necessary to motivate him. Who does it now? I'm guessing nobody based on Carson's and Doug's pressers. Wentz himself says he's going to keep doing what he's doing. How does promising to repeat bad decisions help the team's chances of winning?

Want to send a message to the team that they aren't playing good enough, call out the QB at the whole team meeting for his embarrassing performance. If he gets his AZZZ chewed then everyone is on the hook for the "You sucked in that game" dressing down too. Everyone seems far too comfortable of late. 

I think Carson looks fundamentally shaky and needs to get back to basics with a priority set on efficiency. The coaching staff is responsible for making that happen, and it should start today, not tomorrow, not next week, today. the 1st half of that bye week should be him working on his fundamentals including his throwing mechanics and quizzed on his reads. the 2nd half of the bye week should be timing with all of his receivers. Other than Fulgham, they're way off and that needs fixed right away.

One last thing, if his accuracy is truly as spotty as it seems, and knowing that at this point, it won't improve much through the rest of his career, then moving forward, the Eagles must acquire WR's with large catch radii only. 

My 24 hrs. of post game reflection isn't over yet. That should've been a 35-0 whooping of a terrible Dallas team. Instead the Eagles trailed at halftime??? Unbelievable.

I actually think in some ways the bye comes at a good time but I think it also comes at a bad time. 

I'll explain. 

The bye gives them time to let the noises just quieten down. To reflect and to regroup for the second half of the year. They are a game and a half up in the NFC East. They have back to back wins and next up after the bye they have NY again. 

But I also think if they had a game next week they would have an opportunity to bench Wentz. Now I know most will disagree and hey I'm not out on Wentz but a message needs to be sent. How the hell can he sit there after the game and say he will keep doing what he's been doing? That's wholly unacceptable and not what we fans want to hear. Be honest with us here. And if you truly believe you don't need to change things then sorry but it is time to end this chapter.
