Not at wide receiver, says Mike Quick | Early Birds by Paul Domowitch, Updated: April 22, 2020- 10:43 AM Gerald Herbert / AP Good morning, everyone. Well, the NFL’s first-ever virtual draft is just a day-and-change away. The league held a dress rehearsal on Monday, and while there were a few glitches, things went relatively smoothly. So get your popcorn and enjoy watching Roger Goodell make the picks from his basement. The Eagles head into the draft with eight picks, including the 21st overall. Four of their eight selections are in the third and fourth rounds between picks 103 and 146, where, over the years, the Eagles have mined the likes of Donnel Pumphrey, Casey Matthews, Trevard Lindley and Keenan Clayton. NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah referred to that area of this draft as a "sweet spot’’ and thinks the Eagles should be able to get some good players there. But most of the focus heading into the draft is on the Eagles’ first-round pick. This draft features the deepest wide receiver class in years. Jeremiah has top-three-round grades on no fewer than 25 wideouts. The assumption is that the Eagles will take a wide receiver with their first-round pick. But will they trade up, trade down or stay at No. 21 and take the best one on the board? We talked to one of the best wideouts in Eagles history, Mike Quick, about the wide receivers in this draft. His thoughts can be found below. If you like what you’re reading, tell your friends it’s free to sign up here. I don't really know how Quick can say they can't get it wrong that's the thing...I mean they really can because this FO hasn't been great at drafting WRs. Assuming Mike's comments were more a testament to the quality of WRs in this draft class and not our ability (or lack thereof) to properly evaluate/draft them. But we all know that there will be WRs taken early that will bust. Let's just hope none of them land here.

If we can find a dud we will.

Law of averages say they have to hit on one eventually ... right? 🤞 BTW that is the emoji that is supposed to represent fingers crossed (hardly looks like it though haha).
CaliEagle
Mike needs to go back and look at the scouting history of the Eagles when it comes to WRs. They find a way to screw it up. Even Quick, the Eagles were fortunate to get him because they really wanted Perry Tuttle instead but he went to the Bills. Tuttle was a bust. But, the Eagles wanted him but settled for Quick. Fred Barnett was a good call if we are going back that far 😆

20dawk4life
With the 21st pick the Philadelphia Eagles select Brandon Aiyuk there, they messed it up.
