I think it’s a big mistake if they bring these two quarterbacks back next season. Carson can’t function if Hurts is behind him, and no one will like Carson sitting on the bench making the money he’s making. There’s a lot of problems on the horizon, but for now the games are finally fun to watch again.

I agree Wentz can’t be on the bench next year.  It would be bad for Doug, Hurts, Wentz and everyone involved.

You don't need a top file pick to find a game changer, with all of our needs we should be able to easily find starters in rounds 1 through 3.

Any decent LB or DB should be a starter on the Eagles, unfortunately we need to look at WR for a 3rd straight year and that's just a damn shame.

Jefferson was a 2nd round pick and so was Metcalf. We have seen top 5 picks become bad too. It doesn’t matter where you pick if the talent evaluator makes a bad choice.

Jefferson was a first round pick taken one pick after the Eagles picked Reagor. I get your point but I'm positive the vikes could not believe we didn't take Jefferson and probably made thier pick in 30 secs.

Only way to get rid of wentz before next season is if the colts make an offer. Other than that you will have both back unless they trade Hurts. Either way it’s a scary scenario because Hurts obviously is the better player right now and teams are more likely to jump on him with Howies amazing contract with Wentz. You will see Wentz starting next year barring a trade with Reich and/or Hurts success for the remainder of the year where he gets a ridiculous offer you can’t refuse.

My bad on Jefferson. I knew he was taken after Reagor. Brain fart on my part.

There are Eagles fans who want Hurts to fail because he’s black. I’m certainly not saying that’s the reason people here don’t want to see him succeed, but to pretend like these people don’t exist, is naive.

Of course scumbags exist.

Howie made this mess. He went and paid Carson and then he started to doubt his choice and draft Hurts. I guess on the bright side if they wanted to "flip” Hurts like everyone said they would his value at least for now is much higher than Carson’s is.

Truth be told, the Eagles have a franchise QB in Hurts, they'd be foolish to start Wentz because he simply can do the things Hurts can do.

Yup. Absolutely. Wentz is past his peak and we don't know Hurts peak yet. Next year when Hurts starts I will just imagine he's getting Wentzs money.

Chances are you're right and that's just a damn shame, hopefully Dougie P isn't one of them.

The offseason is going to be real interesting around here. So many questions need answering and quickly. In the end bringing back Wentz, Doug, and Hurts would be a mistake. I don’t think Doug and Carson can really coexist anymore, and Carson could never function with Hurts waiting in the wings. Of course if Hurts leads this team to wins in these final games how do you even go back to Carson?

But the contract says otherwise. Howie made the offer too soon IMO and now we are stuck with it. You can’t bench a $130 mil qb if no one will take it. We are screwed regardless. Hurts is the way to go but business wise you can’t eat 130 million. Howie is a huge problem and we need an FO rebuild

No, they'll make him play out his rookie contract just as they should have made Wentz play his out, but no, they shelled out all of that money not knowing how post injury Wentz was going to perform........dumbarses!!

I think Doug is trying his best to protect Carson and other people involved here. Not surprised he didn’t give Hurts any resounding praise. Still I watch and Doug has actually been coaching the kid all year. He’s always right next to Doug and that was before he put him in. Truth be told I think Doug is a big supporter of Hurts.

Jefferson was a first rounder. Vikings pounced on him thirty seconds after Howie goofed.

Doug hasn’t backed wentz to the point where a coach should. No one on this organization is truly locked in on wentz

Sure you can, Howie will look like an idiot but if the shoe fits put the damn thing on.

Yeah I know I messed that up, but the same still applies. It doesn’t matter where you draft if the guy making the picks keeps missing.

While obviously Jefferson is having a better year, there’s little proof that if the picks were reversed there’d be any difference in their numbers. Jefferson might have a tough time here and Reagor could be tearing it up across from Thielen with Cook running wild.

So you’re saying play hurts and waste a mistake on a contract and make him the most overpaid backup in history? If Reich doesn’t pick up the contract this team won’t get better for a long time

You can't make this crap up. One average game and you think he is gonna get 35 million next year. Lmao. They can't even negotiate with him on anything for a few years. Rookie contract.  My god. Lol

Well he hasn’t flat out bashed Wentz either and frankly Carson has been a big part of the problem this season. If Carson were killing it this season and the Eagles still lost that would be one thing, but every game the Eagles played this season with Carson as the starter the Eagles had the worst passer rating in the game. He’s be struggling terribly.

35 million reasons......

I mentioned someplace else that if the Eagles use Reagor the way they did today more often it still could end up really well. We might end up with a Percy Harvin type player. I could live with that.

I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to hear what Doug had to say but he needs to know, Hurts is the only person that can save his job.

I will give Doug credit, he called a pretty good game today, I was afraid that he was going to do the conserative thing by running on 1st and 2nd downs and passing on third and long, I've seen that many times with black QBs.
