There are a few restaurants in my town with big trump banners either in the window or on the sign. Makes no sense to me to possibly push away around half of your customer base to display a political sign but I guess the owners feel differently.

Not sure if you are being serious or not but the national polls were pretty spot on in 2016. Most state polls were within the MOE as well.

I don't know what polls you were looking at, but most had him losing by a decent bit. The media isn't even pretending to be balanced anymore and have a clear agenda. People can believe whatever they want, but their reporting is biased and meant to sway people and their polls are another one of their tools. Also, just like in 2016 there are a ton of closet supporters behind him. People know how unhinged liberals are and won't flat out say they like him, but when they get into the booth they can do what they want. We'll see. If this goes past election day and they are still counting mail in ballots he will probably lose cause they'll print them until he does. If it's called on election night he probably wins.

Even if you are right in this case the mayors of the cities choose the police chiefs who set the policy. Period. They serve at the pleasure of the mayors. If they wanted to change the policies, procedures, training, hiring practices, or anything else it falls at the feet ultimately of the democrats who run the cities and states where they reside. Do the unions fight change? Of course, but it isn't like recent changes have been made and a string of blue flu followed that we have heard about.
