I personally think that all politicians are idiots (Trump included to an extent) but if someone held a gun to my head I would vote Republican over Democrat any day of the week. I think its extremely annoying how butt hurt people are about Trump and blame him every time something bad happens when every president goes through bad things happening in their term. technically yeah he is, but on the other hand if people don't want to claim him that's their propagative and you shouldn't get butt hurt over it. trump gets what he deserves, if he wants to brag about how he is better than air itself , he needs to accept to the fallout when things go wrong. it also doesn't help that he acts like a ragging teenage girl on twister.
May 5, 20205 yr You know when Trump logs on to twitter at midnight that he's going to be raging about something.
May 5, 20205 yr There is one similarity I see between Lincoln and Trump and it's that for both of them being elected helped break the country apart. LOL

May 5, 20205 yr RTW, I'm laughing at the comparison, but also I think David Leavitt is one of the most hated guys on twitter. LOL

I have to try this sometime. Cop: I pulled you over for going 80 in a 65 zone. Me: Technically, yes, but on the other hand, it felt like 65, so you shouldn’t get butt hurt over it.
May 6, 20205 yr Trump and an entourage visited a face mask factory in AZ today. And he still could not find a facemask to wear! Seriously, just ask and they’re likely to supply some Props to whomever created the playlist for the visit. "Live and Let Die" GNR version.

I don't see any need to compare this to either. You want to compare fruit to fruit, compare what has happened in the US to what has happened in other countries dealing with COVID. Simple as that and we are at or near the bottom of the graph no matter how you draw it.

First of all, it only bumps us to 2nd worse. And that is still even more embarrassing than China because we were part of the 3rd wave of countries to get it while China is the epicenter.

But the point about the hearings/testimony/investigations is valid. Republicans launched 10 different investigations into Benghazi. It was a situation that was unique to a country that was still in the upheaval of revolution. That's a very specific circumstance that will never effect most people in the country. We're going to have investigations into the response to Covid too. Trump and the Republicans are going to scream witch hunt because that's what they do when there's any amount of oversight, but regardless of what they cry about, there's a very valid reason to investigate the response here. The government needs to know what not to do in the future. The amount of death/economic destruction is unacceptable and shouldn't be repeated. The return of a pandemic virus is a much larger threat to 99.9% of the country than a revolution in some North African country.
May 6, 20205 yr im not sure how much better another POTUS would've done with this. sure i agree trump has fumbled his way through the crisis so far, but he is just part of the failure and we cant lose focus on that. this is a huge learning experience for future pandemics and we are seeing that this country, this planet for the most part, is still woefully inept to deal with something like this.

Allowing test kits from the WHO, not telling people to inject cleaning products, and not openly calling for armed revolution in states where governors were mean to him would be nice

I have no idea why you'd take this position. I can think of a dozen ways where the administration has face planted here. And many of them are unique to the hubris/stupidity of how this President operates. It's all a learning experience to be sure, but does anyone have any faith that if this happened again, Trump wouldn't make the exact same mistakes?
