So they'll be downing a case or two of Budweiser each day and wondering why they look like weebles in a year.

I enjoy drinking wine on occasion, but I tend to still drink it like I would beer (not quite as fast, but still faster than I should) and I always end up hammered

Hope you can do it.  I started my dry January and so far have made it 2 days with no alcohol.  At this rate, I will end the month with 5 days!  

Ah yes the good ole new year resolutions... Working in a grocery store I have front row seats to people and their resolutions. They end right around the super bowl
