Sure, every big company knows what they're doing. Nobody in big companies or actually the people who run them ever makes mistakes. Not sure why Amazon would even be afraid 1 bit of smaller competitors.

They want to put them out of business.

I get that Dave. So they get minimum raised to 15 bucks they put their competitors out, but before that they have to pay 18 bucks or more to get the same level of employees. The 18 bucks or whatever stays and their "small competitors" which can't be hurting Amazon all that much anyways are out of business. Problem is there will always be something or someone to compete with.

yeah stealing 62M from their drivers

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/ftc-says-amazon-took-away-162527500.html

NEW YORK (AP) — Amazon is paying nearly $62 million to settle charges that it took tips from its delivery drivers.

The Federal Trade Commission said Tuesday that Amazon didn't pass on tips to drivers for more than two years, even though it promised shoppers and drivers it would do so. The FTC said Amazon didn't stop taking the tips until 2019, when the company found out about the FTC's investigation.

"This theft did not go unnoticed by Amazon’s drivers, many of whom expressed anger and confusion to the company,” said FTC Commissioner Rohit Chopra in a statement. "But, rather than coming clean, Amazon took elaborate steps to mislead its drivers and conceal its theft, sending them canned responses that repeated the company’s lies.”

They only pay 16 bucks in my area. They really don't pay that well for being the richest company in the world. That's why they are always hiring it's a sheet job for sheet pay

I hope heads roll for it

but at the end of the day their drivers are unskilled labor and likely not worth 15 an hour

I'll never understand why people bash Gates for his philanthropy. God forbid someone with intelligence and wealth harnesses it and tries to change the world for the better.

yeah, he was doing the same thing every other business does in our capitalist society - trying to crush his competitors.  Have you ever watched the Social Network?  Zuckerberg is pretty shady too.
