Tried to bring you something new and fresh with a new HC in town.

Can’t wait to see who he’ll bring in as his staff. Hoping for Lynn or Hamilton and Gannon and I would love to see him keep Stoutman and Staley.

Gone;

DJax, Jeffery, NRC, Curry, Riley, Brown, Ford, Opeta, Gerry, Juringa, Sudfeld, Perkins, Clement, LeBlanc, Barnett (10 million saving), M. Jackson

Keep;

Singleton, Johnston, Ridgeway, Mills, Scott, Rodgers, Ward

Restructure/pay cut;

Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham

Trade;

Zach Ertz to the Arizona Cardinals for a 4th in 2021.

FA;

We’ll be quiet! We’ve nothing to spend! Maybe a role player here or there but nothing substantial.

Draft;

Trade alert!

Eagles trade down with the SF 49’ers for a 2nd and a 4th in 2021.

1) Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida;

With fan favorite JaMarr Chase off the board and no prospect available this organisation feels completely comfortable taking at #6, the Eagles trade down and still find a way to get their hands on arguably one of the elite prospects in the draft.

What Reich and Sirianni did in Indy was scheming to create favorable matchups because outside of Hilton, their WR corps is just average. Sirianni won’t have to with Pitts in his hometown Philly because he’s arguably the biggest matchup nightmare in the entire class, dare I say it; we’ve seen entering the draft in years.

2) Jaelan Phillips, DE, Miami;

With Barnett becoming a cap casualty, we need to infuse our pass rushing unit with young cheap talent. Phillips might be too good to pass up at the top of the 2nd.

2) Eric Stokes, CB, Georgia;

Finally a true outside corner to pair with Slay.

3) Jabril Cox, LB, LSU;

A true off ball sideline to sideline LB is what Gannon’s (??) defense needs.

4) Drake Jackson, OC, Kentucky;

Kelce’s heir.

4) Damonte Coxie, WR, Memphis;

Yeah I know! A little late for a receiver but from what I’ve heard Sirianni is pretty good at scheming to his receivers strenghts. He’ll get the most out of Reagor, Fulgham, JJAW, Hightower and Watson. Hopefully!?

Add Coxie to the mix and you might have something there with Pitts becoming the focal point of the offense.

5) Richard LeCounte, S, Georgia;

True deep coverage safety and great leader in the defensive backfield.

5) Trill Williams, CB, Syracuse;

Another CB?! You bet!

6) Sadarius Hutcherson, OG/OT, South Carolina;

Keep coming back to this kid because he reminds me a lot of BigV.

6) Lorenzo Neal, DT, Purdue;

Depth piece with Malik Jackson walking.

7) Rakeem Boyd, RB, Arkansas;

Don’t like to use 7th rounders on RB’s but I believe Boyd to be a great fit here.

You know what... You better believe I love it.

It'll be perhaps unpopular because taking a TE in the first is absolutely not a priority but hell to that. This offense needs a huge boost and Pitts may give us that.

And then it's very defense focused and I like that too.

Like I said; if I have to chose between Pitts, Smith, Waddle, Surtain and Farley, I’d probably take Pitts from a pure talent perspective.

I don’t view him as a pure TE . He’s a X receiver and elite TE rolled into arguably the biggest matchup nightmare this entire class has to offer. Handsdown one of the elite prospect in the draft! Top 5 prospect talentwise if you don’t take position into account.

I think it would be a toss up between Smith and Pitts. Farley is a really intriguing prospect too. But yeah trade down and Pitts is in the mix.

In a good way??

Don't burn my house down. Yes in a good way. Parsons would be my pick in the first. But cox is a healthy mid round alternative. I'm just learning who is in the draft.

Thinking more about it. I would trade down to like nine. Pick up a 3rd and a 5th I assume. Pick Parsons in the first and still take cox in the 3rd. Then pick another TE in the 3rd. But I haven't studied the players yet. But I wouldn't trade behind the cowboys. I don't think wr needs to be addressed. I just think the new coaching staff needs to let the guys we have polish up and play.

Yeah some fans would roast the Eagles for taking Pitts, until they see him play in midnight green and realize he can lineup at receiver also.  I look at it like this...if we can get a player like Kittle you take him regardless of who you have in place currently.  Great teams draft based on potential and not need.

Indeed! I could care less where the production comes from. I view Pitts as one of the elite prospects in the upcoming draft. That kid is a matchup nightmare no matter where you line him up. I don’t just see him as a TE but as one of the best offensive weapons this draft has to offer. Even if you do view him as a TE, if you believe he’s gonna challenge Kelce, Gronk and Kittle for best TE in the game, he’s definitely worth a top 10 pick IMO.

Chase, Lawrence, Sewell and Parsons are the other elite prospect in my book.

Why? Don’t like Pitts?!

Purely from a talent perspective, he’s a top 5 prospect and I have him rated higher than the likes of Smith, Waddle, Surtain and Farley.

It’s not like TE isn’t an important position anymore either like 10-20 years ago. In some offenses it has been the focal point.

Ray, take another look at that trade!

1. A 3rd & 4th is not enough to move from #12 to #6.

Eagles #6 =1600 draft points, SF #12 = 1200 pts

2021 NFL Trade Value Chart (drafttek.com)

2. SF don't even have a R3 pick this year! :lol:

So I reckon Eagles should get #43 from SF instead, in which case I'm all over CB Eric Stokes at #37, and either your DE Phillips or my DT Nixon at #43.

I'm over two TE sets. We shrink the field too much.

I get you but Sirianni will likely use two TE sets too. Plus I see Pitts as a allround weapon, not just your prototypical TE.

1. I am Ok with Pitts at #12, he is likely to be BPA right there. I could be talked into Surtain there as well.  At #6, the only guys I'd want are Sewell or Chase, otherwise it's trade back all the way and try to get more picks, especially in R2. Really liking the look of Daviyon Nixon there.

2. Yes, but the trade still needs adjusting! :lol:
