Free Agents:

Brandon Scherff G 4 years 60 million

Marcus Williams S 5 years 71 million

Mike Hilton SCB 4 years 12 million

Xavier Rhodes CB 1 year 7 million

Tyrod Taylor QB 1 year 4 million

6-6: Tony Poljan TE Virginia

EDIT: The cap numbers are based on the cap staying at 198.2M. If it’s lowered you may see a Slay restructure as well or Hooker instead of Williams.

I think it's interesting off season for sure bud. I like the package to trade Wentz and Ertz. I like the Wade pick and some of the FA moves.

Wouldn't you go Hooker at S though?

And I'm not sure about Smith at #6 but I know a lot will like it.

Odds are Saints will re-sign Williams. If they do then yes go with Hooker. Williams is 24 and a good play making FS so he is a priority in my mind.

I like Smith or Chase. Our HC is all about WR. I think he will be running to the podium to pick Smith with his fundamentals and route running skills.

True, lots of young talent at WR.

Love your trade and draft MT.  However, can’t see all the free agent signings, especially Scherff and Williams due to our cap problems.

Between the cuts, restructures, and Barnett extension it should gives us around 55 million in cap space. We have so much cap space in 22 and 23 that we can kick the can down the road for those 5 players and be be more than fine. That’s enough for those FAs and drafted players.

I like it a lot but please explain to me how you freed up about 100 million of cap space?

We are over 53m with top 51. I did the math and that does not include 30M carry over.

+23M

Trade Wentz saves 850

Trade Ertz saves 4.7M

Restructure Cox saves 11.2M

Restructure Johnson saves 6.9M

Restructure Brooks saves 7M

Restructure Graham saves 8.9M

Restructure Hargrave saves 8.8M

Djackson saves 8.7M post june 1st

Mjackson saves 2M post june 1st

Jeffery saves 2.2M post june 1st

Avery saves 920K pre june 1st

Goodwin saves 4.2M pre june 1st

Pryor saves 920K pre june 1st

Huntley saves 780K pre june 1st

Extending Barnett saves 7.2M

Kelce saves 5.5M if he retires post June 1st

Cap: -39,370,000 pre june 1st/-57,770,000 post june 1st.

The rookies don’t sign till post june 1st. Also a few signings like Taylor, Rhodes, and Cooks don’t happen until after June 1st.

The cap savings from Wentz in 22 and 23 is enough to take care of 75% of the restructures. We have 40M savings in 22 and 100M in savings in 23 before all of this so there is room.

Thank you!

I think there would be room to bring in Hilton as well but I couldn’t decide. I’m excited to see what Sirianni does with all the young guys.

I’m too plus we finally have a DC who cares about LB and DB play and has a good track record of developing the latter.
