I remember the first time I saw gas for $3/gal. was right after Katrina. It was close to $4/gal. in Philly in the summer of 2007, then after the crash, it nosedived and I was getting it here for like $1.53. Then it rose basically back to over $3, and when the pandemic hit, I was amazingly getting it for like $1.75. And yeah, it's weird that I remember these things
