My oldest has his permit and I've been taking him out for practice.  He may be ready for this but I'm not.  This is not helping...

My kid is about to get his permit too. Scary crap. We’ve been hit by a guy that ran a stop sign and a guy that just merged into me in the last 3 years. Both rollover accidents. Thinking of him driving on his own is screwing with my head for sure. On the bright side, Joe saved us from $10 gas so it’ll be cheap for him to drive. Now that is  a man who I’d gladly buy a fake NFT from.

I am struggling to find anywhere in CA where gas is that high.

https://www.gasbuddy.com/gaspricemap?lat=35.1972771550383&lng=-121.532924832909&z=6

I'm not gonna track down remote gas stations in the middle of nowhere that are always 20-50% higher than other stations. where is this almost $7 gas?

The used car prices have me in a bind as well. I just bought a new Crosstrek, and the used ones on the lot cost more than the new one I got lol. If that trend continues for another year or so, I may end up just buying him a new car lol.

it's nuts. i'm finding cars with 100k+ miles routinely going for over $10k.

I just paid $3.59. What do you use? Super Premium gas?

Weird that they'd be running with a report at odds not only with the BLS report but also the ADP report.

Given the tight labor market and payroll tax revenues, I'm gonna go ahead and say the Philly Fed messed something up pretty badly here.

I was going to stop for gas, but all along route 1 it was $3.15 or higher.

Effing Biden.

Suckers, $2.89 down here in FL. The only downside is that it means living in Florida.

FL looked great to me from Mississippi. Once I left that armpit of the south, FL looks less attractive. Even without nature trying to wipe it off the map every five years.

Remember that time some fool managed to pay $6.99 for gas when the national average is like three bucks? Good times.

I’m seeing several gas stations in my area, rural central pa, selling premium for 1 cent cheaper than regular.anyone else seeing this?

I saw that at a Sheetz in the Gettysburg area last weekend - regular was 1 cent higher than plus and premium.

I saw in the news this a.m. that gas prices in PA have fallen again. Great job Joe.

Have gas prices gone down?  I'm sorry, I haven't noticed.  My car is powered by cheap, clean, renewable energy at home.

Unfortunately, the new EVs are way out of the average Joe’s price range. We will have to wait a few years to buy the hand me downs. Not a knock on EVs, just the reality of new technology.

I feel like I had this conversation before and it devolved into "well not everyone can charge them at home" and criticisms that its not the exact car they would like

So those prices minus $7,500.  But..... One thing that IS hurting the average American are the new stipulations for the tax credit.  Cars need to be primarily assembled in NA.  Same for the battery.  Has to be under $55k (ok, last one isn't hurting the average Joe).

Oh, the Ford Lightning, which is something that now we are interested in, has gone up 40% in price over the 2022 model.  Demand is driving the prices up on EV's across the board.  It's 6k more for a 2023 Mach E Premium than our 2022. Used is even worse.   I can sell mine today for $15k more.  It's crazy.

Good thing we locked in last February.  But what can I say, we are a bit more progressive and ahead of the curve.

For me I think it has devolved into, I can’t get afford the EV that I want.

Thank you. I do what I can.

As always, here comes the Government to help......   I'm sure this won't cause any price spikes or supply shortages.

So is this Macarena craze gonna take off, er...

US gas companies cannot store it, they have to sell it, so they can refine more.

If nobody is buying premium, the price falls.
