April 4, 20232 yr I dig the EQE but I can't justify that kind of money for a vehicle honestly. I just don't drive enough.

The pandemic obviously impacted that, but in general I drive less than 5,000 miles per year and basically just 20-30 miles a day.

January 18, 20241 yr But but Biden is stopping US production 🤣 The US is producing more oil right now 'than any country in history,' S&P Global says "Not only is the United States producing more oil than any country in history, but the amount of oil (crude oil, refined products and natural gas liquids) that it is exporting is near the total production of Saudi Arabia or Russia." Jim Burkhard, vice president and head of research for oil market, energy and mobility, said in the report on Tuesday. "When you look back on 2008 — when US production was at a 62-year low, and exports were zero — it is a remarkable turnaround." https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/commodities/us-oil-production-record-brent-crude-prices-opec-russia-saudi-2023-12#:~:text=The US is now history's biggest oil producer as output,13.3 million barrels per day.

January 21, 20241 yr The fact is that compared to December 2021, inflation is up nearly 10%. And, while the rate of inflation growth has fallen significantly since its high of 9.1% in June 2022, compared to January 2021, prices are up more than 17.5%. Per Fox Business, since the start of 2021, food prices are up 33.7%, shelter costs are up 18.7%, and energy prices are up a staggering 32.8%. To put this into perspective, the typical American household must spend "an additional $11,434” annually just to maintain the same standard of living they enjoyed in January 2021.” "Biden’s not getting enough credit"

January 30, 20241 yr https://www.reuters.com/world/imf-says-global-soft-landing-sight-raises-2024-economic-growth-outlook-2024-01-30/ IMF says global 'soft landing' in sight, raises 2024 economic growth outlook The International Monetary Fund on Tuesday edged its forecast for global economic growth higher, upgrading the outlook for both the United States and China - the world's two largest economies - and citing faster-than-expected easing of inflation. Aw man. That sucks. Trump was hoping for a global depression. It's not fair.
January 31, 20241 yr I had $2.80 off per gallon thanks to all the points I had accumulated at Giant. I got 25 gallons, (the most I could get) for .59 per gallon. Cost me just under $15. Of course, my truck has a 32 gallon tank, so to top it off, I had to add another 4+ gallons at regular price, which came out slightly more expensive lol. Still, I filled up for about $30. Not too shabby.
April 24, 20241 yr Damn Biden for making oil companies produce summer gas which causes increases every year at this time. Why Gasoline Prices Are On The Rise Gasoline prices are on the rise, climbing nearly $0.30/gallon since the beginning of the year. What you may not realize is that this price rise happens nearly every year. In fact, if we look back to 2000, the only time gasoline prices didn’t climb between January and May was in 2020 — when the COVID-19 pandemic collapsed oil prices. There are two reasons this changeover generally correlates with higher gasoline prices. First, it is more expensive to produce summer gasoline. A key reason for this is butane.
April 24, 20241 yr Interesting how this video of the Dems DEMANDING Trump lower gas prices took place in May.

April 24, 20241 yr https://ycharts.com/indicators/us_median_family_income Honestly I'm a bit skeptical given the jump in Jan 2023, but finance guys - how accurate is ycharts on this? Inflation sucks for equities, but if you hold property or are a salary earner your wages should have also gone up.
