April 23, 20214 yr Spoiler I recognized Nightwolf and Kotal Kahn on the wall. Kano tried to steal Shinnok's amulet. Why would Goro go on an assassin mission? That seems beneath him. Also a weak death. He hit the woman and she got up like it was nothing. They disrespected Goro in this lol Kabal looked good. Disappointed we didn't get to see him doing some of his finishing moves. Raiden was awesome. I was curious what they were going to do with Sonya's powers Jax's fatality was pretty awesome. I thought Sub-Zero's body was going to disintegrate after the hellfire. I think that would have looked cooler than it still being there. I thought Liu Kang was going to turn into a dragon and kill him lol Cole and his power was lame. Also I thought Shang Tsung didn't look right. Not sure if it was the wig or what Milenna had a nice ass. Little sexist and misogynist but I'm surprised the women's outfits weren't sexy like the games There's a ton more characters they can use for sequels
April 24, 20214 yr My only dislike was lack of a traditional tournament. That element in the original was solid. Kano steals the show
April 24, 20214 yr Agreed - Kano was amazing - lots of LOL moments. Shao Khans fatality was the best IMO

April 24, 20214 yr Yeah they definitely made goro a beech... It wasn't bad but it wasn't good... I was really expecting it to be better...

April 24, 20214 yr If Wikipedia is correct and they only had a $50M budget then it makes sense why Goro wasn’t in it much. Hopefully this does good so they can get a bigger budget for the next one
April 24, 20214 yr I enjoyed it, didn't really think it was going to be great by any means but, it was a fun movie.

April 25, 20214 yr I thought the movie was awesome from start to finish. Really enjoyed this one and the costumes were really well done.
April 26, 20214 yr What I'm seeing among my friend group is people either really liked this movie or really hated it lol. Haven't watched it yet but if I have a a couple hours this week I'll give it a go

April 27, 20214 yr The story was pretty awful, but it was still an enjoyable hour and a half. Good fight scenes for most part and Kano was great
April 28, 20214 yr Looked cool. Can't say I was a big mortal kombat fan as a kid. Aside from playing vs in my Buddy's mom's basement years ago, I really didn't have much experience. Enjoyed the movie though. Not great but the fatalities were cool, which is basically how I remembered the game

I would definitely pay to watch a sequel but how do you make a two hour movie about a tournament to determine the future of Earth and never actually have the tournament.

I think I heard/read the director or someone else associated comment that they didn't want it to feel like a carbon copy of the original, and "we've already seen the tournament", so they chose to do something different. I think that was a fault. Span out from there in sequels. Shang Tsung just going rogue at the 10th tournament feels weak. Like... Earthrealm wouldn't lose the tournament by him killing Champions in his free time. Is the goal that when the Tournament starts, no Earthrealm champs are present to attend, so Shang Tsung just wins be opponent forfeit?!?
April 29, 20214 yr Should have been a tv show with how many characters there are and the different backgrounds they have
