Influential people spreading hatred based on skin color. Not only are they not discouraged from being bigots, they’re actually rewarded for it.

5000+ years of documented nonstop slavery on the continent of Africa (ancient Egypt to today) but it's the White people that are sole perpetrators of that problem...See even idiots can get a PhD nowadays. She should be fired for her racist rant.

But but but, a couple liberals on here swear that college professors aren't a problem, aren't indoctrinating anyone they're just teaching history.

I don't think anyone has argued that radicals don't exist in all ranks, classes, and races. Including among college professors.

But the right has indoctrinated their base that what this insane Rutgers professor is espousing is representative of all college professors, and of all Universities in terms of its messaging. Which is false, but the right has been radicalized around this idea.

The evidence I have for that is that among those actually voted in by the people, there are far more whackos on the right who have latched on to conspiracy theories with zero basis in fact at the state and federal level, as shown by the number of republican congressmen who either voted willingly or felt must vote not to confirm Biden's election on the day Trump supporters breached the Capitol building while Congress was in session

There are absolutely whackadoodles on the left. But they're not representative, and they're viewed with disdain even within their own party. Despite the right successfully painting all Democrats with the broad brush of wanting to "defund the police", there was very little actual support among Democrats at large during the 2020 election. And the NYC mayoral Democratic primary put the nail in that coffin - the city with one of the highest concentrations of "progressives" nominated a pro-police candidate who specifically came out against "defund the police".

Imagine a society so white supremacist in nature that this lady will likely get a promotion out of that rant, but if a white person said anything remotely similar about any other ethnic groups, he or she would instantly be fired.

Um...don't you have to be insane to choose to teach at Rutgers? Or attend Rutgers?

thousands of people should protest at the school until she is, right ?

No idea. Is it a private school? Do they want liberal nonsense?

I assume you can go to a school and take Not Z classes.

If this is a government institution, sure. Fire her.

rutgers is new jersey "state" university.

sorry, this isn't a case of liberal nonsense, this is a racist rant that should bring about the cancel culture in force.  there can not be any tolerance for this BS regardless of who it is.

OK. After reading the story:

She should be fired. I'm okay with firing EVERY bigot.

That said, it was on YouTube, not in class.

personally, i don't think this should matter.

again, if you really want to end racism, all of this crap needs to be stomped out. every race has bigots, so this idea that some (not saying you) have out there that only those in power can be racist is complete sheet.

In class would be a greater abuse, IMHO. Either is firing worthy.

Anybody can be a bigot. All it takes is ignorance and hate.

A little over a week since a BLM terrorist with tons of anti-white social media posts mowed down a parade of white people and stuff like this is working it's way into the mainstream:

Dangerous times.

The more we go to great lengths to end racism, the worse racism gets.

As old racists are exposed and punished, new racists are created.

The things we do don't end racism or even slow it down.

When blame is assigned, it's not without consequences to the accuser.  Blame, labeling, hiring quotas, political pandering, school admission quotas are all being used to "balance the playing field", but in reality, only create resentment and will cause pushback in other ways.  Diversity can be a good thing.....forced diversity is not.

People have issues with all kinds of other people......whether it's a personality thing, a lack of knowing how to communicate with others, resentment, or just being a dallas fan... race is the most obvious difference that makes those things look like racism.......in addition to someone actually being racist.  Yet those things are only attributed to one race being racist. Which is ridiculous...but mostly pushed by the politicians and media.

We want to eliminate racism......yet all we hear day after day, is race related analysis or blame.  And most people have turned a deaf ear to it as far as meaning anything.  I've been on both sides of the color line......I've seen the ugliness from both sides and incredible goodness and decency from both sides.

Racism is a complex and multi faceted problem.  To reduce it, it takes more than idiotic cancel culture and punishment.  There is so much more we can do to reduce racism than to lay blame and point fingers.  But it takes real effort.....but that energy is wasted on other issues and race issues are relegated to just political footballs and "social justice" protests.

They are absolutely representative of college faculty. Pretending like the woke insanity isn’t prevalent and pushed in higher education is lie.

Viewed with disdain within their own party? Are you nuts? The woke insanity agenda IS the democrat agenda.

You're cracked if you think AOC is as representative of Democratic electorate as Trump-blessed reps like MTG are of the Republican electorate.

AOC is MORE representative of the Democrats overall than Trump to the GOP. You can see the difference in every institution in the country: primary school, college, corporations, even the military brass these days, etc etc etc.

Trump wants to do something milquetoast like deport illegal aliens and people like you screech fascism. But when schools across the country try to brainwash kids with tranny propaganda and racial bigotry, you run cover. You're a living disproof of your own argument, acting in real time, and you don't even realize it.

You're cracked.

Let me try to understand here.  If we anonymously polled all Nov 2020 Biden voters asking them if they felt AOC was a quack and then did the same for all Trump voters for MTG which of the two would get the higher quack percentage in your mind?

More Dem voters would say AOC is a quack.

I'd also contend that while AOC's policy positions are crazy, I don't think she herself is. MTG is 🦇💩.

They are nutbags. It is clear that some are - however, college is a choice. If you pick to go to X school with X teachers, you shouldn't be surprised at it later.

But funding colleges isn't a choice. The federal government backstops literally trillions of dollars in loans to them.

If we want to go the libertarian private route, that's fine. In fact, that's what I want No federal loans, grants, etc and they can teach whatever insanity and promote whatever racist admissions policies they want. No state or local funding either. People pay for what they want, and if the school can't survive financially on its own, then the school goes bankrupt and all of those professors and administrators can find a new job.

But until then, no. It's a public concern because public dollars are financing these schools and the classroom is being used as a brainwashing camp.
