We did not draft a backup QB with our #53 pick...

We drafted a backup to our backup QB. Keep reading that we will see Hurts take over if Wentz gets hurt. Sorry, no. Hurts is a project Qb and will not be ready to take over if Wentz goes down next season. So yes, with our second round pick we drafted a #3 QB who may not even dress on game day!

We didn't. We drafted Tim 2bow

Sad thing is you're actually right. He probably isn't, or at least shouldn't, be the back up next year.

But he was by far the best player on the eagles board.

Which is a problem in itself. It’s not his talent I question. I know nothing about that. It’s his position. If they want a developmental QB, fine. Start looking today. Not in round 2. Round 2 should be aiming for a starter, or significant contributor.

The Eagles drafted themselves a quarterback controversy.
