May 5, 20214 yr Jesus Christ you people are dense. Of course being gay doesn't affect their ability to fly a helicopter - that's the point he's trying to make. Why make a big fuss over it? TO BECOME MORE WOKE and appeal to smooth brain libs.

They played purely from feel/emotion. Guys like Vai and Satriani were more cerebral and blow him away in terms of their knowledge of theory and the breadth of their skill/style, but they were also directly inspired by Hendrix. You can still argue Jimi was the greatest ever because of influence. He propelled rock music into a totally new realm that influenced countless acts that followed him. The created sounds that had literally never been heard before and a persona that many tried to imitate but never reproduced. He was genuine and he was innovative. I'd still consider Jimi the greatest ever, but in terms of "the best," that depends on your criteria. I like Jimmy, but Chuck Berry did more for rock music than Jimmy.

Berry was part of the foundation of rock 'n' roll, so he's obviously a big part of its history. When I think about rock's hayday in the 70s, though, I relate a lot of that most directly to the psychedelic/blues-based hard rock of Hendrix, but there's a lot of crossover. A lot of people in Hendrix's own generation were influenced by him, but when you're talking about Clapton, Led Zeppelin, SRV, they may have been heavily influenced by Hendrix but really were rooted in that old-school blues/R&B era from the 50s that connects to guys like Berry and Albert King. They're all intertwined.

Along with that, I somehow forgot to mention Little Richard. Alan Freed also doesn't get enough credit outside of musical circles.

You mean gays and lesbians don't have to hide in closet over fears of being kicked out of military. Seems like common sense to me.
May 5, 20214 yr Author Tucker's response to the CIA's insane new recruiting video: The man is an absolute legend! Still holding out hope for him to run in 2024.

May 5, 20214 yr A ride for kids at Disney, depicting an 80 year-old cartoon about Snow White is the latest example of the complete out-of-touch insanity of the leftist woke mob. This just magnifies the idiocy of political correctness, and is actually quite frightening that anyone in their right mind would be concerned about the prince kissing Snow White to awaken her from the wicked queen's spell. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????!!!!!!!?????
May 5, 20214 yr Did a lot of people actually complain, or is this just Disney trying to get out in front of the matter like the Dr. Seuss thing? Either way, I hate Disney, lol.
