Gaetz is a contemptible piece of ish. If you ever find yourself defending him against someone like Milley, you should reconsider how you got there.

CRT is an invalid joke. So is what it was before they changed its name to CRT, back when it was eugenics. Same old tired crap rearing its ugly head in a new generation like it always does. The idea that there are subhuman traits in certain race(s) and therefore differing value among the races is a laughable farce. 100 years ago, the tenets of eugenics fueled the Holocaust and many other race based mistreatments of humans. Back then in the USA, it was primarily done against non-white peoples. Today, CRT is just an attempt to hold onto the tenets of insanity, but flip the script because it's Whitey's turn now. Go Racism!!

CRT is not Eugenics or even close to Eugenics.  You have no clue what you are talking about.  Which white supremacist message board did you read that on?

The goal of eugenics was to advance the human race (primarily white people) by breeding out the inferior traits that are so abundant in the sub-humans (non-whites) of that time. You see at the time, they convinced themselves that the sub-humans were naturally inferior and that they must ensure they remain above those naturally irredeemably flawed people. So who were the sub-humans? You had your pick back then.

Under CRT, white people are naturally racist and psychopathic and thus are the irredeemably and naturally flawed sub-humans. Everyone needs to accept these inferiorities and we must adjust society to remove their social power and influence. It's pure racism, just like 100 years ago.

If you don't think that flawed logic is racist, then that's on you.

CRT is racist and stupid.  But it's not eugenics.

I see the Confederate flag, which is the foremost symbol of white supremacy in America, all over rural North Carolina and rural Virginia.  So there’s a lot of psychopaths out there for sure.

The goals are a little different (breeding vs. social reconstruction) but the process is essentially the same. It's the same process used 1000 times in history. It goes like this.

1. Establish difference between peoples to marginalize a target group.

2. Identify the terrible "dangers" associated with those marginalized different people.

3. Assign differential value of human life to "us" and "them" because "we" are better than "them" or "they" are worse than "us."

If you get the majority to buy into that racist BS, the next steps come easier and easier.

4. Subjugate those dangerous and less valuable people into 2nd class citizens to remediate the dangers.

or

5. Enslave those dangerous and less valuable people to remediate the dangers.

or

6. Exterminate those dangerous and less valuable people to remediate the dangers.

Where the goal lies between 4-6 varies from society to society, but whether its a breeding program to advance a race which inexorably leads to differential value of human beings, or a social reconstruction plan that leads inexorably to a differential in the value of human beings isn't the part to argue over. It's a distraction. The issue is the evil process. We should stop step 1.

CRT and Eugenics are similar enough to be studied for understanding but never allowed to gain  traction in our society as true. That's my point.

Sure, but most white people don't fly that flag.  And most the people that fly it aren't psychopaths, they're just really, really, really stupid, like barely tie their shoes stupid.  I know a lot of them.  I'm related to a few.  But CRT presumes that all white people are as stupid and worthless as Trump supporters.  Thankfully they're not.

Like you said, the goals are different.  They're not the same thing, even if you can establish a set of broad principals that apply to both, their aims are completely different.

Furthermore, you could equally apply bullet points 1-3 to the right-wing media machine.  They operate under those exact same principals, only they target people living in the cities and liberals in general.  The rest you're extrapolating, but if we're just coming up with what-if scenarios then you might as well apply 4-6 to the right wing media machine as well.

Only galaxy brain white people vote for democrats who are the ones responsible for pushing CRT in virtually every segment of society. DCotP.

My claim was misunderstood that CRT and Eugenics are identical. That was my bad for poor phrasing and not at all my point. I unintentionally created a distraction as people ran to their eugenics definitions for a gotcha moment. I should've known better. I apologize for my mistake.

The broad principles that apply here keep showing up time and again hiding under some new label. Whether it was manifest destiny of western expansion in the US, US slavery, anti-Semitism that helped fuel the final solution, or any of a 100 labels around the world across time. By now ,we should recognize the hidden process and nip it in the bud every time it crops up. We should recognize step 1 for what it is and decry it as evil. If we fail to do that, it grows and we'll have a bigger problem to solve.

Okay, gotcha about eugenics.

Right.  Yeah, I agree.  CRT is stupid and racist.

But like I said, the exact same principals you laid out for CRT apply to right wing media messaging.

That's 100% what they do, only to a different sub-group than CRT.

We should nip both in the bud.  They're both damaging to different groups of people.

I agree 100% that both the right and the left  engage in that type of propaganda, that it's dangerous, and all equality minded Americans should work together to nip it in the bud, no matter where it crops up or who is tending that poisonous garden. Any side that espouses inequality cannot be more right than any other side that does the same. They're both equally wrong and in need of correction.

What history teaches us is that no people are immune to the process I described and so, we must remain vigilant in speaking out against that process the moment we see step 1 being attempted. Attempting to marginalize any group is antithetical to equality and we have a civic duty to defend equality at every turn. It goes so far beyond political party affiliation that we should shed that tribal mantle to fight for what we know is right.

Study the new label to understand how the process was hidden. It may help identify it quicker in the future. Ultimately all we need to do is stop step 1 every time. It'll make our world a better place. That's my take on it.

Right.

Eugenics is all about breeding positive traits in people. We do it today every time someone wants to have kids and they screen fertilized eggs for things like Down syndrome.

There is nothing inherently racist about it, though the Eugenics Movement was in large part racist, though also classist as well.

Tucker the 🐐

why does mainstream right wing media hate our military?  :nonono:

Quote

x News host Tucker Carlson slung mud at Gen. Mark Milley, the nation’s highest-ranking military officer, on Thursday evening, calling him "a pig” and "stupid” after the Army general defended the teaching of critical race theory in the military a day earlier.

"Mark Milley is the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff,” the conservative personality said on "Tucker Carlson Tonight.” "He didn’t get that job because he’s brilliant or because he’s brave, or because people who know him respect him. He is not, and they definitely don’t.

After playing a clip of Milley’s comments at a House Armed Services Committee hearing Wednesday, Carlson commented that he found it "hard to believe that man wears a uniform, he’s that unimpressive.”

"He’s not just a pig, he’s stupid,” he added after a second clip.

That's just completely incorrect. I'm not a big proponent of CRT but it bears no relation to eugenics.

Edit: I saw your clarification later. Makes more sense.
