Hitler was a much greater leader than Trump by far though.

Trump isn't a leader.  Never has been and never will be.

Agree to disagree.  My contention will continue to be that the Chief of diversity and inclusion (lol) was fired when he compared Trump to Hitler.  Why, you ask?  Because any reasonably sane person, when thinking about Hitler, immediately thinks murderous, anti-semite, racist dictator.  Some of you think of Hitler in a different light.  To each their own, I guess.

So you DO think Hitler and trump are comparable?

only as "murderous, anti-semite, racist dictator"

So does anyone actually think woke politics and pregnant women make our military stronger?

if they can perform as they need to in their positions, i don't know why it wouldn't keep it just as great as it already is.

make it stronger ? nah

Which one of them were pregnant?

I may not have served, but I can read, and US military studies have shown that mixed gendered units are far less capable than male only units. That’s for women who aren’t pregnant, and call me crazy, but I don’t think a pregnancy will improve someone’s performance.

I don't know, do you?

I don't believe anyone called being pregnant a performance improving technique.

I am sure you love the 4 page summary of a study that says exactly that. There seems to be some problems with the study, which is probably why they did not release the study, but only a summary. 2015 study, Marine Corps? Right? That's the exhaustive dive you made into the subject?

Again - not really an insult if I'm on the side that doesn't admire Adolf Hitler.

Don't be so sure.

For the record I agree with your assessment of Hitler. I'm just saying Hitler is different from Trump because he

  • served in the military
  • wrote his own book as opposed to having it ghost written for him
  • and marched with his followers in an armed uprising against the government instead of hiding and watching it on TV

All major differences between Trump and Hitler. We can all agree on that right?

I guess that’s why the republicans pushed the cancel culture so hard to cancel Torres-Estrada.

They want to cancel everyone.

I feel like the full hilariousness of this has been kind of lost in the fog.  I mean, he literally started an insurrection and abandoned his soldiers immediately and went home to watch TV.  It's basically Julius Caesar telling his troops to meet him on the other side of the Rubicon and then just getting on his horse, going home and eating lunch.

The cream on top, is his people still worship him, even after he abandoned them. "I'm going to march down there with you."

they fell for the old "i'll meet you there" line

You’re the one using that link, not me. If you don’t know its relevance, why did you post it?

I do love data. That’s clearly not the only study which would support the fact that women are inferior warfighters than men. The results of that study should have been obvious. The fact that we as a country have to waste the time and resources to show that women aren’t as capable as men when it comes to ground combat just shows how much of a laughable circus we as a nation have become.

You provide no evidence, as usual. I did a quick search, since you declined. Twice now.

I am so glad that you love data. Even flawed data. I'm sure that comforts somebody. Somewhere. Maybe.

There are no doubt women more capable than some of the 'qualified' men. Since you are not willing to serve, it seems. . .sort of pussified. . .for you to whine about those who do what you won't and complain that you aren't certain they are up to a job you refuse

did the Israeli military become a push over because of women serving ?

asking for a friend.

Since nobody else is answering the original question...I'll take a stab.

If the ultimate selections for elite units (or any other units) are based on merit and earned then I see no reason why allowing diverse candidates into these units would hurt their effectiveness.

However, if we are offering preferential treatment, or worse yet, mandating diversity quotas in each unit, then yes...I believe it may very well weaken our abilities.

All that being said, if you want to open up Ranger school, BUDS and other elite certification courses to women and others then be my guest.  If they make it, good for them.

"Some” — as in an outlier of an outlier of a woman vs an outlier of an outlier of a man.

Sounds like a great use of limited resources to try to find the 1 in a million woman who can equal the average man instead of accepting basic biology. And then you’ll complain about defense spending in the same breath.

One test for all. If you can pass the same test as everybody else in your unit, you qualify.

Yeah, because the rampant fraud and waste in military spending is on equal rights.

Run along, now.

And you want to add to the bloat instead of accepting every bit of data we have on human biology and dimorphism.

Run along indeed.

The American left, sending men to play girls sports, and women to play special forces soldier.  And you're a racist misogynist if you dare question either.

Hey, if this means women's sports might actually be watchable, I'm for it. Megan Rapinoe wants to be paid the same as men? Then compete against them.
