The National Guard is part of the U.S. military but is unusual because it is controlled by both state and federal leaders. Most of the time, state National Guards are commanded by governors. However, presidents have the authority to call them into service to respond to hurricanes, bolster border security, and assist in overseas military operations. The disagreement over vaccine exemptions is not the first time that the governors have been at odds with the Pentagon and presidential administrations over National Guard authority. In the 1980s, for instance, several governors who opposed the Reagan Administration's policies in Central America objected to calls for Guard members to go there for training. Minnesota Gov. Rudy Perpich filed suit, and in 1990, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that federal authority prevails when the issue is activation.

"The city council passed an ordinance that makes it a crime punishable by four months’ imprisonment to share food in public parks for charitable purposes.” Bullhead City’s mayor, Tom Brady, said the ordinance applies only to public parks. He said churches, clubs and private properties are free to serve food to the homeless without a permit. Thornton owned a restaurant for many years before retiring in Arizona and said she wanted to use her cooking skills to help the less fortunate. "I have always believed that when you have plenty, you should share,” Thornton said. God forbid we should help the less fortunate.
November 10, 20223 yr Author Florida Deputies Arrest Legally Blind Man After Mistaking His Walking Stick For A Weapon https://www.comicsands.com/florida-blind-walking-stick-arrest-2658612581.html Quote Hodges informed the accusational deputies his cane is not a weapon but "a navigational aid" and adked one of the deputies if she was "a tyrant," to which the deputy responded "Yeah, I am, actually." The female deputy then asked Hodges for his name and date of birth. Hodges refused saying she didn’t have the proper grounds to make such a request. The deputy then threatened: "Do you want me to put you in handcuffs right now?” Hodges responded: "What is your suspicion?” The deputy claimed: "It looked like you were carrying a gun in your back pocket." "I’m stopping to make sure you’re carrying it properly.” Hodges took his mobility aid out of his back pocket, showing it to the deputies. The female deputy then pointed to a fellow deputy when Hodges asked for a supervisor. The supervising deputy reaffirmed the other deputy's suspicions and again asked Hodges for his identification. Hodges responded: "But now she’s verified that I am not armed." Hodges refused to provide ID, saying he had not been officially detained and had not been accused of or suspected of committing a crime. Hodges was then handcuffed. While handcuffed, Hodges repeatedly asked the deputies for their names and badge numbers. He also explained he walked in the dark that morning to get to jury duty on time, hence why he was carrying his cane but did not need to use it in the daylight. His words fell on deaf ears and the supervisor issued the following instructions to his fellow deputies: "You know what?" "Put him in jail for resisting." Welcome to Ron DeSantis' Florida where you get arrested for being blind and sticking up for your rights.

It's actually Floridas backwards gun laws that are to blame here. Officers are allowed to stop you if they think they see a firearm and it's a crime if you carry open. Printing counts as open carry in Florida.
