May 30, 20205 yr Buried Mr Di today. He told me years ago don’t burn me. Comfortable with this decision and it is what I want as well. Although it was strange and surreal -crying with some hugging and not hugging while wearing a mask, I did ok because it was so peaceful and quiet. Immediate family for visitation-few more cousins and lifelong friends at the grave and back here for lunch we kept it to 30 people Had to do no more than 10 at a time for visitation. There has been a parade of deliveries coming in. At the house. L Even today. I feel relieved. I’m sure I’ll feel differently soon. Staying strong for my kids. Gives you something to live for. Exhausted. Got another plaque for my wall with the Eagles logo and his picture from the funeral home. It’s also on his concrete outer box in the ground. Crazy times!

I can't recall specifically interacting with him on here but the fact that your name is so familiar, (been a member on the old boards since '06) it goes to show how long he's been around and the relationships/friendships he must have established and formed with everyone during that time.

Thank you. He wasn’t actually a member here, it’s just that I’ve been here a long time and would share some of his crazy antics and my challenges with you all. He was definitely part of our family here.

June 12, 20205 yr While living through some crazy times and going through probably the worst 7 months of my life, it has brought me great solace to remember and feel all the people Mr. Di touched with his life. To give you an idea, I received over 50 sympathy and Mass cards, 21 flower and/or plant arrangements. I just finished writing 45 thank you cards. This is just me, not counting my daughter's friends, school workers etc. We had one of our regular Eagle watcher friends bring us dinner last night. I am truly blessed in having all of this support that just hasn't stopped. So, don't give up folks, there's still plenty of humanity out there. Thank you all once again for your caring and thoughtful messages.
June 15, 20205 yr So sorry Di Pros. Just know that you have family here. As well as thoughts and prayers still with your loved ones. During these very beyond tough times.

I can't imagine what you have gone through and I'm glad you've had a lot of love and support around you, especially now when it would be even harder with what's been going on the last few months
