I see foxes out all the time during the day, especially hunting season. They're more active at night, but not nocturnal

I always thought they were nocturnal and must have mange if you see them in the daytime.

We have seen this one 3 times not all daytime sightings.

We have one that roams the neighborhood.  One of his entry points to the woods is right behind our house.

One night I took the pups out and I look over and he is staring at us from the woods about 100 yards down the way.  Couldn't tell if he was curious or wanted to eat one of our little furballs.

One of the times I saw this one I had sent my dog out in the back yard.  Now,  he normally barks at everything.  People,  deer, cars if they're going slow... He gets especially rowdy about other dogs going past.

About 5 minutes later I go to let him in and I see him sitting at the fence completely still, staring. Completely quiet. About 10 feet away on the other side of the fence the fox is also sitting staring right back at him.

Of all times for him not to be barking at something.  Such a dummy.

It almost seems as if they could have been getting along.  Neither looked aggressive at all.

I went out and the fox walked away and sat back down to stare some more.  He did that one more time abs the trotted away father in to the woods.

Maybe because they are both canines they are not aggressive toward each other?

I know around here it's the coyotes that are aggressive towards pets and farm animals. Some nights if we're sitting out on our deck we can hear them howling pretty damn loudly.

we had a visitor out by the pool this morning.

After I shot my doe a few weeks ago,I was in my truck bed trying to find her in an over grown field in valley forge with a park ranger. I looked to my left and there was a red tail hawk in full dive coming right for me. He tucked a shoulder about 5 foot from me and grabbed a field mouse at the base of my trucks tire. Tried to get a pic as he was sitting there but he flew as soon as I got my phone out.

That has to be an optical illusion; using a power saw on a glass top table?

Very awesome there

Up at 5am to get my daughter to her black belt pretest.  She passed but was frozen solid after 2 hours outside this morning.

awesome pic.

Today was a work on the basement day.  First I put in tile where the wet bar is going:

Then we (FIL and I) tore out the structure we built for the fireplace and rebuilt it.  We originally were going to put a mantle in and hang the TV above it, but decided we wanted to have the tv built into the wall:

When we are done, its going to look something like:

Thanks.  Its been a long time coming but finally getting to the finish line.  We started in 2016 but had to put it on hold because of the remodel we did in 2018 at our Brigantine condo

This is what it looked like before we bought the place (pretty basic):

I ripped out the carpets and put down that floor.  Removed the pizza hut lights and put in recessed lighting.  Adding a fireplace.  The wet bar is going in back right of that pic.  On the other side of that wall we are putting in a bathroom (that will be next after we get done with the wet bar and fireplace).

Any luck we should have most of it done, including the bathroom, before the end of the year.
