I mean not really. It was still a wasted pick.

Hmm I don't know... If he somehow became the starter? I mean... I think it's extremely unlikely but if he did? Then trade Wentz for a boat load? It's very unlikely but then it's a good pick. I think.

No, I think he was refering to if Wallace can start this season at S does that mean the feelings about taking Hurts in the 2nd change at all. Because we got a quality starter in the 4th to make up for it.

Starter? Your thinking way to small. This dude is the next Brian Dawkins. He already has a date set to pose for his bust for Canton.

Or a free pick.  Depends how you look at it i guess.

This must be in their consideration.

Wentz is the guy, but if his injuries persist and Hurts develop as they hope, I can certainly see this happening.

For someone with time...from 1999-2019 NFL seasons, 20 years:

What is the mean %, median %, mode, and maximum % of a teams salary cap space that the SB winning QB has taken up?  Then compare with some top QB's for 2020 and 2021.

I expect interesting results.

The projected round 5 pick talk is garbage.  I had him as an easy round 2 talent if you want to take that for what it's worth.  This is one of the safest picks I've ever seen and possibly the best day 3 pick by the Eagles in ages.  I'd have to really look into our recent day 3 draft picks to find the equivalent but off hand nothing comes to mind.  That kind of shows how bad our day 3 drafting has been until this year.

I think we got steals with Wallace, Driscoll, Hightower, Watkins and Prince based on where I had them ranked. Only time will tell but if we got a SS, a Kelce successor/backup G, a swing T, and two WRs that contribute this could be the greatest day 3 in Eagles history.

Still cant believe they got Wallace at 127. I didnt think he would make it to 103 and he shouldnt have. The only reasons I can come up with for him being a late 4th round pick is that he is "only 5'11" and perhaps he was overshadowed by other players on Clemson's defense.

Anyone checked out his IG? Wolverine profile pic... channeling his inner-Dawk. Love it.

I want to love this guy, but it feels like we're jumping the gun on assuming he will be relevant at the NFL level.

His film is exciting, and safeties did seem to be a forgotten position this year - Gmen got a steal with McKinney in the early second, for instance. So, I'm cautiously optimistic. Plus, he seems like more of a completed product than Davion Taylor in the 3rd.

He should be one of the 2-3 most likely rookies to actually be active on gamedays. Should be.

I get the cautious optimism. Personally I just love the fact that he seems to be close with Dawkins, I can’t imagine BDawk not acting as a mentor for him. I think if you take his raw talent and couple it with the fact that he’s got a hall of fame safety in his corner teaching him, he has a chance to be very good.

Kvon Wallace got himself some ink

Eagles rookie K’Von Wallace shows off his giant eagle tattoo

K’Von Wallace has been an Eagle for just a month but now he has a permanent (and large) reminder of the Eagles on his back.

Wallace posted an Instagram story of some tattoo work he’s getting done and his entire back is getting covered in a mural of a tiger and an eagle. He played for the Clemson Tigers and now he plays for the Philadelphia Eagles.

It looks like the Eagle part is mostly finished.

Hopefully this works out better than the last time I remember a fourth-round pick getting a notable tattoo. Donnel Pumphrey once got an NFL logo tattooed on his calf and then never played in a regular season game. Wallace has a better shot though.

Wallace was a fourth-round pick last year but many thought he could have gone earlier. With some real questions at the safety position in front of him, Wallace could end up being a long-term solution.

Shortly after the Eagles drafted him, Wallace was already in love with the fan base.

"It's crazy to see,” he said. "The Eagles fan base is the best I've seen. It's up there with Clemson, man. Just seeing how they supported me even before I got drafted. During the first round they were telling the coaches to pull the trigger, and all these fans, DM’ing me on Instagram and saying, ‘We can't wait for you to be an Eagle.’ The fan base is incredible. It's incredible.”

I look at his profile, and I also struggle to find what's missing. They say he's undersized (5'11, 206), has poor hips (agility workout numbers are fine), is "better downhill" (I mean, I guess....), and lacks elite speed (4.53 40 is okay for a CB, and quite good for a S). I'm not a big PFF guy, but I think he ranked extremely high on their metrics in both coverage and tackling. Maybe an avid college football watcher can explain why he's a 4th rounder in terms that I can understand. His traits and football demeanor scream 2nd rounder all day to me.

Most people had him as a 3rd round pick. In fact, he was mocked to the Eagles at 101 quite a bit.

Yeah that's what I thought too. I feel like we really did get a steal with Wallace so I guess let's see.

I hope for his sake he's an Eagle for a long time after that tattoo.

Looks more like a seagull than an Eagle to me.  Also, is that a cat with a crown he's framing up to the left?

Looks like it's supposed to be a lion.  Yeah, not the best Eagle it could pass for another type of bird.  LOL.

Hopefully his skills at safety are better.

If he did that tattoo himself, that would be pretty f'n impressive

I think it looks pretty good.

also the cat is probably supposed to be a tiger, possibly Clemson’s mascot with a crown for the championships.

I mean, I'm no tattoo expert...but something is wrong with the eye.  Looks seagullish.   Tiger makes sense.
