Posted May 11, 20214 yr pronounced as 'shuck' https://video.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?ei=UTF-8&hsimp=yhs-att_001&hspart=att&p=tyler+shough&type=E211US714G0#id=1&vid=c5143a5c9b7e7c0ac58982e8d17f4162&action=click what's odd is he seems to make the wrong read on the zone read against Cal a numbre of times. natural athleticism, but doesnt seem eager to run. seems to get greedy looking at route combinations. passes over the open short man too often. should light it up at Texas Tech.

He lost snaps to Anthony Brown in the last games of last season, at first it was goal line and short yardage stuff in the Pac-12 Championship and then a lot of the Fiesta Bowl, he probably wasn't expecting that after backing up Herbert for a few years so he went into the transfer portal. Isn't a great advert for his chances as an NFL prospect that he couldn't hold down a starting job he'd spent 2 years training for against a guy who'd moved from another college the same year.

That game was an absolute head-scratcher from a coaching standpoint. Shough started 7-of-9, lead them on a TD drive and never saw the field again — and Anthony Brown was absolutely pedestrian in the game. Missed a gimme TD throw badly to a wide open player in the end zone where the ball went 5 yards out of bounds, fumbled the ball away on one of his many QB runs. Time will tell; Shough will have to win the job from an incumbent senior QB at Texas Tech, but he has really good size, arm, and mobility. Hard to overcome a dolt of a head coach at Oregon.
September 6, 20213 yr It's crazy premature to be thinking of a new QB but he's an interesting pick to keep an eye on. But his WR Erik Ezukanma looks even more interesting. 7 catches for 179 yards, 25+ ypc.

September 27, 20213 yr Injured his non-throwing shoulder Saturday against Texas and is likely to miss a few weeks. Depending how much time he misses he might go back for his senior season to try to improve his draft stock with a full season of production

Going to that game and really wanted to see him.
November 8, 20213 yr Signs are pointing to Shough returning this weekend against Iowa State. I'd really like to see him play the last 3 games and see how he does. Their last 2 games are against #11 Oklahoma State and #14 Baylor -- if he plays and plays well that will show me a lot. It still remains to be seen if he will even declare; he may want to return for his senior season to lift his draft stock.
November 20, 20213 yr Looks like Shough is out for the rest of the regular season according to their interim head coach. Have to believe he returns for another college season
