Eagles announce jersey numbers for 2021 NFL Draft class | DeVonta Smith, Kenneth Gainwell, more

The Eagles announced the jersey numbers for their 2021 NFL Draft class on Wednesday.

 

First-round wide receiver DeVonta Smith will wear No. 6, taking advantage of the NFL’s new number rules. Second-round lineman Landon Dickerson will wear No. 51.

 

Along with new numbers for their draft class, the Eagles announced new numbers for veteran players as well. Cornerback Darius Slay will switch from No. 24 to No. 2, guard Isaac Seumalo will switch from No. 73 to No. 56 and new running back Kerryon Johnson will wear No. 34.

Below is a list of the draft pick numbers:

6 - WR DeVonta Smith

51 - C/G Landon Dickerson

93 - DT/DE Milton Williams

27 - CB Zech McPhearson

14 - RB Kenneth Gainwell

90 - DT Marlon Tuipulotu

75 - DE Tarron Jackson

30 - LB/DB JaCoby Stevens

48 - DE/LB Patrick Johnson

Below is a list of the new veteran numbers:

2 - CB Darius Slay (formerly No. 24)

17 - WR Khalil Tate (formerly No. 6)

24 - RB Jordan Howard (formerly No. 34)

34 - RB Kerryon Johnson

39 - CB/S Elijah Riley (formerly No. 48)

56 - G Isaac Seumalo (formerly No. 73)

I don't buy jerseys, but for those who do and given the new # regimen, I'd recommend Velcro numbers to avoid unnecessary expenses.
