Eagles probably can teach ball skills...but no one can teach speed. This kid has speed.

I've found that fast guys with bad hands stay fast guys with bad hands. Hands and speed are 2 things that only improve by small margins, even with a lot of training.

Clement gone

Sproles gone

Aggy gone(end arounds in the playoffs got us chunk yardage or 1st downs)

See the underlined info above. This guy basically averages a 1st down every time he runs an end around.

I don't want to see Sanders or Scott returning kicks..we need them in the backfield.

This guy can return kicks and run end arounds. They can teach him to "catch better".

For a "average route runner".. he seems to get decent separation on go routes running away from Cbs.

IMO, guys who can't catch remain guys who can't catch. Latest example: Agholor.

Man I can't argue this.. but.. there were like 2 seasons where we had the "Aggy redemption tour".. and 1 of those seasons he played excellent enough to help win us a SB.

i like pretty much everything about this kid other then the fact hes a body/arm catcher. They never make it in the NFL and not easy to change that at this stage.

good point.. I recall Aggy "body catching" a lot.. I think that's why they do a lot of end around/kick return stuff with him

We just need some deep passes completed enough to scare teams into backing off. The underneath change moving stuff can go to the more reliable mitts of the TEs, Ward, Sanders, etc.

This is the reason I like Watkins better as a prospect. At this point, it seems like they’re fighting for one roster spot.

Anyone who had HBO in the 90s should be able to quote those movies by heart. They were on every week.

I think it's down to Hightower and Watkins for one roster spot. Perhaps the other makes it to the PS. Hightower looks like a more versatile WR. He also looks a lot bigger even though they are listed similarly. Watkins definitely looks faster though and he catches the ball with his hands where as Hightower lets it get to his body. Should be a very interesting situation / camp battle to monitor. It's pretty much a coin flip in my opinion, and if you can develop one of these guys into a 3rd or 4th WR it's a huge win.

Roster locks are:

Jackson

Reagor

Not a lock but probably makes the roster due to draft status:

JJAW

I think Alshon goes on IR for the year. Pretty sure the reports were that there is a good chance he isn’t ready to play until December. At that point might as well not bother.

So assuming they keep 6 receivers, it comes down to Ward, Hightower, Watkins, and Goodwin battling for 3 spots. I honestly don’t think Goodwin makes it. He’ll have a nagging injury in camp, like he always does, and it won’t be worth keeping him.

Hope so. Goodwin is fast garbage. I wanna see if Hightower and/or Watkins are or not.

6 receivers, 4 backs?  Where do you think the two extra roster spots will go?

One has to go to OL.

I thought that was a game day requirement.

Agholor was someone who could catch who became someone who couldn't catch.
