Posted April 25, 20205 yr Lol figure I start this one out. I honestly like Reagor pick at #21 (if I look at it in a vacuum and I'll leave with at that). I like the two offensive linemen we drafted as well. The other picks, meh. Two day 3 burners at WR that are very limited and raw at the position in a loaded draft class is inexcusable. Not going ng for bigger WR is an ego move for Howie and Doug to show Whiteside will be that guy Jalen Hurts is a nice guy with high character. All joking aside. He will be a good back up. With all of this said.....FIRE HOWIE!

With all of this said.....FIRE HOWIE! While there might be some element of truth to what you said, my interpretation of them acquiring 4 speedster WRs (3 drafted, 1 via trade) was to take a high volume approach to increase the chances of hitting on more WRs. If at least two of the 4 acquired WRs play well, the front office did their job (since it's unrealistic to expect all 10 picks to pan out). My guess is that Reagor and Watkins are the most likely to pan out of the 4 guys. While I still don't agree with Howie's decision to draft a QB in Round 2, I'll reserve judgment until the rookies can prove themselves on the field. I've cooled down from my previous stance and realized that we need to know what we have in Wentz and while it may seem unfair to hold his injury history against him, we can't put all our eggs in one basket at QB. A 4th round pick on QB would have been more palatable, but maybe the Eagles were too scared of drafting another Clayton Thorson so they went for a higher rated prospect in this year's draft. That would explain the team's interest in Jordan Love as well, but the dire need at WR trumped their interest in Love. Perhaps a 3rd round pick on QB would have been the best compromise.
April 26, 20205 yr I am very upset with Howie, because He did not get the best value on most picks. But My favorite pick, in terms of value and position necessity is John Hightower. A very speedy WR out of Boise State.
April 26, 20205 yr I actually really like Reagor and think he will be a stud WR. Wallace is my other favourite pick in the 4th
April 26, 20205 yr Wallace and Prince look like the two who have the most opportunity to outplay their draft selection. Those would be my two favorite picks of the weekend.
April 26, 20205 yr Yeah, count me on the list that thinks Prince was the best value. He has a knee injury, which is why he fell, but to get a big, athletic LT prospect with the upside to be a good starter that late in the draft is extremely rare. If not for the knee he was probably a top 60 type of pick. I really liked the Reagor pick as well. No, he wasn’t a reach. He fit exactly what we needed as a high probability starter with speed. I think his upside is pro bowl level. He can make some circus catches, he’s absurd running after the catch in space, his deep speed will terrify coordinators and DBs, he can run the entire route tree, and I think most people don’t understand that he’s actually a pretty average sized WR at 5’11” and 200 pounds. It seems like most view him like he’s Desean’s size. He’s not. The dude is thick and ridiculously strong.

His best playing weight is probably around 195-198, but that's still plenty big enough. A lot of people thought Sproles was small. He wasn't - he was short, but he was actually pretty stock and therefore difficult to arm tackle etc. Pumphrey on the other hand could be taken down by a strong gust of wind.
April 26, 20205 yr I like the value of Quez Watkins in the 6th. He was supposed to go a little higher. I like Driscoll in the 4th, a versatile lineman for depth.
April 26, 20205 yr I really like Wallace. He seems to bring that passion and attitude to his play that we love in safeties on this team.
