What the social media companies are doing is just wrong. Anyone who believes in the Constitution and free speech should be disgusted by what Twitter, Facebook and Google are doing. Just think, they banned the Biden/China laptop story and called it Russian disinformation. That was a total lie. They did that to protect Joe Biden. That story is 100% true and it is Hunter’s laptop. Joe Biden is the "big guy” and is in China’s back pocket. Isn’t that something that should be investigated. The Dems had no problem investigating Trump for banging a porn star but they overlook this.

Then they said anyone saying that Covid started in the Wuhan lab is spreading medical misinformation and banned them. Wrong again.

What about using Hydroxy for Covid. They banned Doctors from talking about it. Well now, guess what, there’s evidence that Hydroxy improved survival rates in Covid patients. Social media gets it wrong every time.

Isn't it great then that you have the choice to either not use social media or pick which platform you prefer?

What's next, telling message boards who they can and can't ban? What's the difference really?

This "Trump supporters aren't getting vaccinated!" pap is just simpleton nonsense to deflect from the fact that, by far, the biggest groups refusing to get vaccinated are minorities who overwhelmingly vote Democrat.  Yeah, there are some Trump supporters who won't get the shots, but their numbers pale in comparisons to those of minorities.

Defending the government dictating to private businesses how they should operate by bringing up the Constitution is an amazing self-own.

These are private companies.  You don't have to like the way they operate, but the government has no right to dictate who they can and can't kick off their platform for violating their terms of service.  DeSantis is a big government fascist, so of course Republicans are going to rally around him post-Trump.

It was sarcasm.  He's nothing like Barry Goldwater.

Normally, I would agree with you about private companies but I don’t think people should be discriminated against for their political views just as I don’t think people should be discriminated against based on their race, religion, etc. So with what you’re saying, I guess you think private businesses can refuse to serve people who have a different religion/race than them.

Regarding social media companies, the big 3 have a monopoly on it. They teamed out and put Parler out of business just because they could. A company like the New York Post should be able to post a true story on Twitter without it getting banned,

Anyone shocked by this ????????  I know I am not.

"Pale in comparison" lol

A majority of Black adults (61 percent) told Pew that they either planned to get a COVID-19 vaccine or have already gotten one, a sharp uptick from the 42 percent who said in November that they planned to get vaccinated.

I mean minorities not getting the vaccine is a big deal but let's not pretend as if there isn't a clear correlation in political affiliation and vaccine rates currently as well.

Zuke as usual, is wrong. Shocking, I know.

The share of Republicans who say they will "definitely not” get vaccinated decreased from 29% in March to 20% in April but remains substantially larger than the share among Democrats or independents.

Compared to 13% of Black adults who said they will "definitely not" get vaccinated.

First of all, Parlor isn't out of business.  You're free to sign up any time you want.  They were dropped by their host for a while, but they're back up.

Political affiliation isn't a federally protected class.  Though it's obviously protected from actions taken by the government that violate your 1st Amendment rights, it's not protected from most actions taken by private business under federal law.  Kicking you off of a private businesses' platform isn't a violation of anything.  Your speech is protected from the government and if you were a conservative, which you're obviously not, you would believe that private business is also reasonably protected from the government.  Abandoning conservatism in favor of big-government fascism because a rambling dementia patient like Donald Trump has the sads is seriously the most pathetic fall from grace I've ever witnessed by a political party.  There are still some conservatives in the Republican Party but Ron DeSantis ain't one of them.

Parler was out of business. Why? Because the social media companies colluded with Apple and Amazon to get rid of them. I’m not a lawyer but I’m sure that violates every anti-trust law out there. Why did they collude with one another? Are they against free speech? Do they not want a place for conservatives to discuss what’s going on?

I’m surprised that you’re ok with a social media site banning legitimate stories from legitimate news sources (NY Post). That’s not very liberal of you.  Businesses like the NY Post need companies like Twitter to reach its audience.

I also find it ironic that you say Trump has dementia. If anyone has dementia it’s Biden. The guy can’t even put a sentence together without screwing it up. He hasn’t even had a real press conference since he became President and it’s almost July.

Parlor's so out of business that they're not out of business.  You're free to download the app and rant all you want about how Trump will gloriously return to power in August and how Hilary Clinton and Tom Hanks eat babies.  They were dropped by the Apple Store and their host because no one wanted the PR hit that inevitably came with hosting a bunch of racist sheet, but now they're back with a new host.

I'm not sure how many times you have to hear this but private businesses aren't required to do anything just because it hurts your feelings.  If FB wants to ban an article, then they can do that.  You don't have to use FB.  As a liberal, I'm all for people making their own choices.

And there's nothing ironic about Trump having dementia.  The word you're looking for is sad.

Let's be honest with ourselves no matter what side of the fence you are on. The 30 percent of Republicans that think Trump is being reinstated this year are not getting vaccinated. We all know it. There they are.

Where does the Green Party stand on this issue?

I understand free speech on Twitter is not protected by the constitution and I choose not to go on Twitter. That’s my choice but businesses like the NY Post do not have a choice. They have to have a presence on Twitter to reach their audience. Like I said, I’m sure colluding with other tech companies to ban them or their stories violates anti-trust laws. Social Media companies also covered under Section 230 so if they want special protection under the law, they should not ban true stories. Besides, Dorsey and Zuckerberg both said they want free speech on their sites. So what are the rules?

  "But my gossip column!"

The NY Post's Twitter account is doing just fine.   Here's a link: https://twitter.com/nypost?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^author  Enjoy that cesspool.

All of your problems seem to be that you don't like Twitter or FB.  You think they're run by liars.  Cool.  Don't use them.  Meanwhile, all of your gnashing of teeth doesn't change the fact that it's not big government socialist Ron DeSantis's business who they kick off their platform for violating their terms of service (by the way, his law has nothing to do with the NY Post nonsense you're rambling about, it's specifically about social media platforms banning politicians [I know what you're thinking, "Finally, someone's taking up for the politicians!  Thank you, Ron DeSantis!"]).

Sure they do, you can go to their website, oh wait, you have to pay for access.

They are run by liars and I don’t have an account on FB or Twitter.  Social media received protection from section 230 so they can’t be sued for a fake or libelous stories. I would have more respect for Zuck or Dorsey if they would just come out and say " we don’t agree with the content” so we deleted it. Rather than making up false narratives.

So, literally nothing you're mentioning has anything to do with the Ron DeSantis law.  So, I assume you agree that his law is big-government socialism and a radical departure from anything resembling conservatism?

The Biden administration knew the key to a successful Covid vaccination campaign would be reaching the most vulnerable populations. But more than five months in, even a blueprint that’s worked with other ethnic and racial groups isn’t doing enough to win over Black Americans.

Less than a quarter of Black Americans had received their first Covid-19 shot as of June 7 based on available federal data, amid a weekslong stagnation that has defied the government’s ramped-up effort to accelerate vaccinations and reach the nation’s most vulnerable communities.

The slowdown has put Black Americans behind the pace set over the past month by other racial and ethnic groups tracked by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The trend line worries health officials and experts who say the immunization drive is running into a particularly complex web of distrust, outreach challenges and stubborn barriers to access.

Let’s wait and see what the audits show. There was a lot of funny business going on.

I think the mail-in ballots added an element to easily cheat in an election.

17 minutes ago, Road to Victory said:

Wrong.

Its the reason Trump and the other entities were booted from the social media platforms. The social media platforms, privately owned businesses, didn’t want the liability of allowing liars to spoon feed lies and propaganda to people like you.
It’s not your political affiliation or their republican affiliation that got them banned, it’s because they’re feeding you lies.

And you continue to slurp them down.
