i work for a dutch company so i have heard from some of my co-workers from abroad that have been there. they say its a beautiful place. my wife is 1/2 cuban and we want to visit all of the countries of our heritages, but it seems this is the only spot we won't get to go to.

i spent a year at Guantanamo Bay back in 79-80 when i was in the Marines. it was beautiful back then with cliffs overlooking the crystal clear Carribean and isolated beaches here and there. i recall a few of us would make the 7 mile run to the beach from the barracks on Sunday mornings, burn one, hang out a bit, and then catch a ride back. even though i was in the military, it was almost like being in paradise.

Of course. There is a legal process for applying for asylum. It should be followed. I can't recall anyone in CVON saying otherwise until Zuker today said they should be allowed to stay.
