That's what I've read.  You can drink while driving, as long as you're under the legal limit.

In some states open containers are allowed, but the driver and passengers aren't allowed to be drinking them.  Figure that one out...

the drinking age in the U.S. used to be 18 and intoxicated teen-agers would wrap their cars around trees.  It was smart to move it to 21.

Passengers only from what I was told by locals. There were a couple drive throughs and basically the rule was that the container top couldn't be open and a straw couldn't puncture the lid for the driver. But passengers were legal to drink.

It's a non zero amount, of course, but they're overwhelmingly democrats.

Liberal DAs are a huge problem in enforcement, as are all the liberal politicians, and these things are marginal movers. But ultimately as you alluded to it's the people. And those people are mostly democrats. Demographics are what they are.

i'd be willing to bet you a paycheck that the vast majority of people committing the gun violence in chicago aren't even registered to vote, let alone give two F's about politics. you're just slapping a label on them to push your narrative.
